That's absolutely not true. Lots of games on the Xbox were far more technologically advanced than God of War 1 or 2.

I agree with the guy above me that what made God of War look nice was the art direction and how they built the environments. However, from a technical perspective--i.e. textures, polygons, lighting, post processing effects--many games on the Xbox were far more advanced.

That didn't stop it from being an amazing game though.

What? You think God of War 2 was better than anything on the Xbox? No way. Games like Chronicles of Riddick on Xbox ran circles around any Playstation 2 game. I love Playstation consoles, but them are the facts.

How can anybody that has seen the gamplay videos of Brink say that they don't think it is impressive? It is very impressive. It actually reminds me of Killzone 2 and might even be better looking. I want to see more, but it is without a doubt an extremely graphically advanced game.

I'm sure all of these will be really nice looking games.

TBH, this really doesn't bother me in the slightest. If you can't get off your lazy *ss one time in the middle of a 20+ hour game you have much bigger problems to worry about.

It's not like I will be playing through it all in one sitting anyway. I will be playing other games in between, which means that I will be "swaping discs" anyway.

I'm so happy to see the PS3 doing well. It completely deserves it.

I have never had my 360 scratch a disc either. I thought it was pretty well established that that only happened on earlier models and only if you move the console's position while the disc is spinning.

I don't know about some of you, I love God of War, but after playing Dead Space I can't wait for this game. Nice that the PS3 will be getting the demo sooner. Actually, I'm just glad that they are giving us a demo. The game looks amazing.

The multiplayer is extremely addicting. The traversal mechanics give the game a sense of freedom of movement that is lacking in other games. The maps are so multilayered and things can play out in so many different ways. I can kick somebody hanging on a ledge or they can pull me over and get a kill. The melee system is just perfect in my eyes.

This is also the first game where I truly find it useful to use almost all of the weapons. Each one has its advantages and due to t...

Modern Warfare 2 is a pretty decent game, but "more mature"?...that's silly. It is more noob-friendly than almost anything else out there.

Wow, TooTall19, I can't believe you feel that way. I'd like to know which games you do like, because frankly if you don't like Uncharted 2 your taste in games is bad (from my perspective). So, out of curiosity, which games do you think are amazing?

Uncharted 2 is easily one of the best single player experiences I have ever had, and surprisingly I think the multiplayer is one of the most polished and well executed multiplayer modes in any recent game.

Modern Warfare 2 isn't any quicker paced than Uncharted 2, so I can't really agree with you there.

You want a slow multiplayer mode?...try Gears of War 2. THAT feels slow and clunky. Uncharted 2 online is fast and furious.

PS3 is my favorite console, but I think a lot of fellow PS3 gamers are blowing Valve's comments way out of proportion. Their comments haven't been nearly as inflammatory as some make them out to be.

They said the PS3 was hard to developer for, but that is common knowledge. Lots of developers have said that, so why jump on Valve for saying the same thing? The fact that Naughty Dog and Guerrilla and other developers have made amazing games for the PS3 doesn't mean that the conso...

I never leave a match, but sometimes I get disconnected due to my poor wireless connection. That happens rarely, though, and I am glad that Naughty Dog have created a penalty for quitting a game.

Best damn game I have ever played, by the way.

Don't worry, it has those same problems on the 360 (the version I own): lots of pop in, glitching shadows and screen tearing. I agree with you that in some ways Assassin's Creed 1 looks better (less pop-in and solid shadows). I think it looks pretty good, though, overall.

They look so close it doesn't really matter very much. I did notice a little bit more screen tearing in the PS3 version in this video, but nothing major. I bought the 360 version, but now I am kind of regretting it because I think the graphics are nearly identical and I really prefer the PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller over the 360's controller.

It's not an expansion.

Leave the fanbabies alone. Let them think that all of their crying is going to affect something. I'm a PS3 fan (not fanboy) and I'm getting more and more sick of this site.

Guess what? I bought L4D2 and I love it, just like I loved Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and Killzone 2. I am sick of insulting people telling me what I should and shouldn't spend my money on.

That's why my PS2 broke down so much?

Seriously, you guys need to stop being so rabid. All consoles have had problems at one time or another. They messed up on the 360 this time, but the original Xbox was a solid system. Who's to say that the next Xbox won't also be a solid system?

6048d ago 6 agree9 disagreeView comment

That's true. Being cutting edge is nice, but if it makes your console extremely hard to develop on then you have to ask yourself if it is worth it. Every time I play a game like Uncharted 2 I want to say that it is worth it, but often when I play a multiplat I think that it wasn't worth it. Sony needs to work with developers this time in planning the architecture of their next console.
