Damn, you people are getting ridiculous. Now Killzone 2 looks better than Crysis? Get real. It isn't even close.

If you think Fallout 3 looks better on the PS3 you need to have your eyes gouged out with spoons, since they are worthless to you anyway.

And yet we're supposed to be concerned with the miniscule difference between a downloaded HD movie and a Bluray? The difference there is much more minor than what we are talking about with most multiplatform games.

Everybody with eyes can see that the 360 version is sharper, has better anti-aliasing and sharper more detailed textures. It's not debatable.

I'm the hugest Deus Ex fan and can't wait for the third one. I had so many enjoyable moments playing the original Deus Ex on PC and Deus Ex Invisible War for the Xbox. It's going to be hard to wait until 2010.

Wow, the PS3 doesn't even come close to the number that the 360 has, even though the 360 has only been out a year longer. The 360 sold more in its first two years than the PS3 anyway.

Or it could be that you guys just happen not to like it, while the majority of people do. Personally, I loved the demo. Playing with my friends online, we had so much fun. I have logged more hours into playing the demo than some of the recent games I have bought.

It's one guy's review. Sheesh, I am sure he wouldn't agree with your opinion of the game either.

He explained quite clearly why he didn't like the game. A bad review is one that says things that are not true of a game--such as when that IGN reviewer claimed the PS3 version of Bioshock had better textures than the 360 (which was shown to be completely untrue)--or when a game's final score does not seem to coincide with what was said in the write-up. As far as I can tell, neithe...

I felt many reviews of games like Uncharted, Banjo Kazooie, and Assassin's Creed were way off base and too negative, but I never cried about it. I understand that there are always going to be a broad spectrum of different opinions about a game and some are going to be too high (from my perspective) and some are going to be too low. That is why I always pay more attention to the full written reviews than just an individual score and why I also pay a lot more attention to aggregate review sco...

I agree that the reviewer was overly harsh (from my perspective), but in the end he is entitled to his opinion. I should also point out that he was extremely harsh on the first Gears of War. He just seems like one of those tough-to-please sort of critics.

Oh, and in case you guys aren't aware, reviewers often give recommendations like "buy", "rent", or "don't buy". It's quite common.

Why do people cry when a game they like gets a negative review? If you enjoy the game, keep playing it. But please don't act like everybody has to agree with you.

You'll probably be waiting a long time. Why hate the 360 so much? The 360 is a great console and you could be enjoying all the exclusives, timed-exclusives, and console exclusives it gets, plus the better versions of many multiplatform games.

Actually, his comment was kind of lame. Almost nobody would spend hundreds of dollars to replace a defective 360 when Microsoft fixes them for free. Besides, the whole RROD thing has been greatly exaggerated. There are lots of people, like me, who have never had a problem with their 360s. People who have not had any problems with their 360s do not tend to comment on that fact on the internet. It's the people with problems that tend to comment most on the subject. Not only that, but any P...

Left 4 Dead.. kicking ass and taking names! That's good to see though, it totally deserves the scores it's been getting in my opinion.

I agree with most of your comment, but the part about the 360 selling more software wasn't really accurate. The 360 currently sells much more software than the Wii despite the fact that there are a lot more Wiis in people's homes. The 360 is doing very well in terms of how much software it sells.

What a biased analysis. Too bad your theory has lots of holes in it.
First of all, you say that the Wii "didn't have to drop their price to still compete". Well duh, until recently the Wii was the cheapest console on the market, so they didn't need to drop the price of the console. Also, much of the Wii's success is due to the fact that it is tapping into a whole new demographic--a whole new market really. The Xbox 360's price drops are perfectly in line with the normal ti...

I'm with you man. Owning both consoles (or all) is the way to go. I love my 360 and the PS3 is getting better all the time.

I know. Why does any year have to be "the year of the PS3" for the PS3 to be a good and worthwhile console?

6417d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

The problem, OnslaughtX, is that sales figures are a convenient and legitimate metric to determine how healthy a game platform is. PS3 fanboys are constantly saying how the Xbox 360 is going to die and the future belongs to the PS3. When I hear that, of course I am going to bring sales figures into the discussion. Better selling games also tend to get better funded sequels which without a doubt does have an impact on a game's quality. Sales are not the end-all-be-all, but they certainly a...

I don't know if I would agree with the 9.7 score, but it's not far off in my opinion. Probably a 9.3 from me, as the demo is definitely one of the best experiences I have had in recent memory. The quality of the gameplay and level design shows the typical Valve polish. Playing the demo made up my mind to get this game. The good reviews it has been getting only convince me more.

LOL. Yes we know, every PS3 owner just happens to own a game-capable PC, right? Puhleese. Out of all my friends only about two of them own a PC capable of running most modern games and even those guys play most of their games on consoles. You only have to look at software sales between PCs and consoles to see that consoles are far more popular these days. And yet, we're supposed to believe that all PS3 gamers have a gaming rig? I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous. Most off the shelf PCs w...
