I hope SCi gets bought by a good company. I'd like to see a AAA treatment on the Tomb Raider series. If SCi is in as much financial trouble as rumored, expect a rush job using the same engine as Legends.
I paid in full a week prior to the release. I was told that it would make it easy to pick it up at the midnight launch. This was not true.
Gamestop was open prior to midnight and everyone was treated the same. Everyone was given a number on a first-come-first-serve basis. So, if you didn't pre-order, you just paid on the spot for your number.
So, instead of walking in and picking up at 12:00, I was number 76.
Maybe those that say Halo 3 is "over-hyped garbage" should play it before trashing it.
I'm sure this isn't a bug. It's the same proportions as 4:3 split-screen.
You are right, the sides have black areas. It looks like it was designed this way. I doubt that's an error.

There may even be legal liability if they didn't mention that the PS3 wasn't online. It's only fair to the consumer.
Remember when Sony said "spring" for the PS3 launch? Sony actually meant that the release date would "bounce" into Fall.

From what we've seen, the violence is not anywhere near AO. It's cartoonish violence. Gears has more realistic violence, and is rated M.

Wikipedia states that Halo 1 sold over 5 million and Halo 2 sold over 9.2 million worldwide.
All 360 games "support" 1080p. However, that's with upscaling. PGR3 ran at 60FPS, but had a resolution of 600p. It was upscaled to 720p (or 1080i/1080p).
I find it suspicious that they used the word "support" instead of "native".
It's great that Blu-Ray has 50 GB. But we haven't seen a difference in terms of content. So far, the only problem for 2 games on the 360 is that Mistwalker loves video. HD video takes up huge space.
Halo 3 fits on 1 DVD and has 4 player co-op, saved videos, and forge.
If you have a PS3, you can play FFVII right now. Why do you want a remake?
Besides, FFVII was a great game for it's time. It came out late in the PS1 life cycle and had the best graphics then. Times have changed. It won't appeal to as many people as you think.
I suddenly gained interest in the game. I played the original DMC and was disappointed with the fixed camera. But the style was cool.
