Deus Ex 3 is doomed. The TRL engine is garbage. They should use the Deus Ex 2 engine since it was so far ahead of its time. The frame rate would be steady on the new platforms.
That game was utter crap. The problem was that reviewers had "KOTOR Goggles" on when they gave it high scores. Gamespot gave it a high 8 (Greg Kasavin). I would have given it a 6.
Jeff is a good guy. He will find a job with some other magazine or site easily. If it's true that Jeff was fired due to a poor score, he will only have more leverage at his next job.
A patch that reduced the texture resolution? Never happened in the console world. This simply means that the well known memory split (256 to CPU and 256 to GPU) actually does hurt texture resolutions.
9% seems like a high percentage.
When are we going to face the facts. The PS3 isn't as powerful as the 360. The excuses don't matter. Games play better on 360.
Sony paid radio stations to play their music (J Lo). Google it if you don't believe me.
I want to like Japanese games, but they always fall short when compared to western games. Compare Mass Effect and Oblivion to Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata. I have beat all of them (50% thru Mass Effect), and I can say that Japan is complacent. They have great artists, but stagnant game engines.
I also beat Dead Rising several times, and I agree that it fell just shy of being worth $60. The first half was amazing and the second half was terrible.
LO was to be a worldwide launch, so it has likely been through most (or all) of the localization. I think LO was moved to Feb in the west due to Mass Effect. We have already seen trailers in english.
All "gay" men have a mother and a father. There is no child that came from 2 fathers or 2 mothers. You don't need lessons to come to this conclusion.
"Gay Boy" claims that he never said anything to initiate the insults, but his tag is "xxxGayBoyxxx". What does he expect? That is no different than walking up to a stranger on the street and saying, "Hi, I'm gay."
My response would be, "Repent for your sins, brother!"
The problem some people may have with aiming is the fact that you need to gain experience points before you can shoot straight.
I don't mind it that much, but I think that your aim should never be "off".
But, since it is an RPG, there are many other ways to take out opponents. To compensate for bad aim, you can boost your shields, use warp to suspend the enemy, or use biotics to disable their weapons.
1) The frame rate is solid. However, there is a ton of stuff happening in real time which cause "hiccups". That's not a frame rate issue.
2) The load times are not bad. The world is huge and streams is real time. The elevator rides aren't bad either.
Mass Effect is not an FPS. It's an RPG. It's not about super tight controls and zero loads, like Halo. It's about story and character development.
The most and best games, period....
Unless it's a clearance sale and they're getting rid of old inventory, the deal is too good to be true.
The horse ride is where you can tell the difference in frame rate. Another thing about PS3 versions is they tend to be blurry.
Besides, the quote itself doesn't refer to a sum of all consoles. It could be read as two statements:
"increased sales for all consoles"
"including the PS2 to 100,000"
It's may just be poor grammar.
When are the PS3 owners going to throw in the towel? They have been disappointed since E3 2006, yet they somehow think that something good will happen with the PS3.
He's correct. The PS3 launch was a disaster in every way. It was so bad, that it looks grim for the future of PS3.
I know this is an old game that nobody cares about, but if you see his video review, he says some untrue things. For example, he said that the girls heads don't follow the volleyball. They do follow the it like flies on poop.
