Agreed. I still love the idea of the series, and the concept of visiting different time zones is fascinating. But the series has become extremely stale in the last couple of years, with very little innovation. They should either start a new IP, or else completely redo the way the game plays, adding real stealth mechanics.
Saying that, if they set the game in Victorian London, I will certainly by buying it. The idea of stalking templars through dark, rain-drenched alleyways ju...
Also, there's a lot of Dishonored that reminds me of Bioshock - and not just the abilities. From character design to concept, the games are very similar, and yet extremely different. And one of Bioshock's strongest points was the fact that you got half way through the game, and there was one of the industries biggest story-twists. And it worked because you CARED about your rather-unknown, mute character.
Agreed entirely. It's a fantastic game (from what I've played of it so far, anyway!), but it still feels like the first entry in a series - there's a lot to add yet!
Extending the introduction would certainly aid the narrative of the game. Sure, it wouldn't be quite as exciting as the rest of the story (no special abilities, and not much more than a sword and a gun), but it would allow you to explore Dunwall a little more, and give you a better view of the wor...
Quick summary of article:
1. Starts at level 30.
2. There's a new type of enemy that essentially works as a medic.
3. New vehicle - similar to sandskiff.
4. New bosses.
5. Lots of loot.
I definitely agree with the stealth aspect. Hasn't been the same since the first game in my opinion... They should really take a leaf out of Arkham City in terms of combat and stealth.
Victorian London is my personal favourite idea. The idea of having Jack the Ripper as part of the story would be fantastic. And having horse-drawn carriages being pulled along the windy, cobbled streets of London, as rain batters on the rooftops would be a fantastically atmospheric setting for Assassins Creed.
I think it's likely due to the point about various zones. All of the other characters you were sent to were in Sanctuary at that point, and it would have doubled the length of the mission to go and inform Tina.
Saying that, I really do love the idea of this. Tiny Tina is one of the most controvertial and colourful characters in the entire game. I think she has a bright future ahead of her in the Borderlands universe...
EDIT: But they could have left it i...
Man, this is sad. I realise 007 Legends is far from a perfect game, but I really enjoyed about 80% of it.
How would delaying the whole game be good solution? It's not as though Skyfall not being included in the initial release was a PROBLEM with the game that required a fix, or that they didn't have time so just rushed the game out incomplete.
They released the original game as close as possible to the 50th Year Anniversary of the films (5th October 1962), but to avoid spoilers for the film, decided to withhold the Skyfall section until after the film was released. That m...
I was just thinking that! Absolutely bizarre!
My biggest tip to anyone struggling with these is to climb onto the rooftops a decent distance away. If you climb too close to the page it will start to blow away before you get a chance to reach it, forcing you to chase after it, which usually ends badly.
Instead, get on the rooftops earlier, and just run at it. I've collected many of the pages before they even really start to move by this method.
I didn't play much of MGO myself (I'm not too keen on playing online), but what little of it I did play was a lot of fun.
Seems like a big shame that they'd bring out a birthday edition of a game which actually only contains one half of the original game.
I'm starting to think I'm the only person in the world who actually enjoyed this game...
I've heard a lot of hate for Revelations, but from my experience of the game, the only thing that it really lacked was horses. I guess the city was a bit small too, and the plot was unnecessary, but it was still a fun game.
AC: Brotherhood is in no way a filler. To understand the main storyline (Desmond in 2012), you definitely need to play Brotherhood. Before ACIII, it was the game that advanced the story the most.
Revelations, you can miss though. Nothing hugely relevant happens in that game that you can't just get from a read of the synopsis.
Dude, I thought you were being sarcastic! Can't believe that was basically the article!
Yeah, sorry, I should explain. I didn't mean to come across as rude. As you stated, it was more a comment on N4G's approval system.
Either way, I didn't know it was a key weekend, so thanks for that! :)
Did this end 6 and a half hours ago? If so, this isn't exactly news...
This review seems about right :)
I agree about the 7.1 surround sound comment. I'm still using basic stereo! But the only way I can truly see this mechanism working effectively in such a gritty title is if they implement a way by which the "Listen Mode" can make mistakes. I've often thought of this as something I'd like implemented into a game.
Basically, if the "Listen Mode" is merely a representation of what Joel can deduce, then the "projections" he can "see&...
