Since when is giving a game 8/10 a cheap stunt? That's still a good review, and while I personally think TLOU is the greatest game I've ever played, the whole point of a review is to give you an opinion on that game.
To give the game 3/10 would be a cheap stunt...
Just finished it. This game is serious. Darker and more serious than any game I've ever even heard about.
Yeah, I know. But the site talks about a movie, whereas from the picture, I got that it was talking about a game.
Might be an important point, as if it was for a movie, it might be considered a hint that the movie was still happening.
Not sure this is supposed to be for a movie. The image talks about "Uncharted 13"
I know there have been a lot of complaints about the character designs for this game, but I for one am liking this slightly different approach. It's refreshing.
I read somewhere that the person who did the cover chose to cut Ellie out because she looked like a cardboard cut-out. I just don't see it...

I did say they "held" the world records. MGS4 has probably overtaken them now!
Although MGS4 doesn't have lots of cutscenes... it just has several VERY long ones.
Agreed. Two missions from Jak II spring to mind as being particularly frustrating...
The first game is relatively short compared to the other two. When I got the HD trilogy last year, I managed to complete the first game (and platinum it) in a single day. But I would say that both II and 3 are longer than your average game.
If it's anything to go by, both Jak II and Jak 3 have held world records for the largest number of cutscenes in a game.
Agreed. That is an incredible deal! I also own the game (and still own all of the original PS2 copies... for reasons I'm not quite sure of...), and if I lived in America, I'd be very tempted to buy a second copy of this game for that price, just for lending to people, or in case my copy stopped working.
Basically, if anybody reading this is a fan of platforming games, but hasn't played this trilogy yet... purchase this.
Was it really within the first year? Gosh, I remember spending AGES trying to trawl through the pages of the original, browser-based store... It really was terrible, and FAR worse than the current version!
By the original blue PSN store, I assume you mean the second version? Not the version that shipped when the console was released? Because the original was truly awful.
Me too. With PS Plus, I just tell my PS3 to download something from my PC, and the next time I turn my PS3 on, the game is usually waiting for me. So easy :)
I have always liked the size of my PS3 slim. It just seems like the right sort of size for a games console... that sounds weird, but it's true!
And I love the PS4's design. Really looking forward to having it on my shelf.
When a special edition turns out to be cheaper than the standard edition, like this particular version, I think it's definitely worth it. Even if it's just for the soundtrack...
In some ways, replacing the zombies with clowns would make this game MORE frightening...

This is the same for me. As long as it is a little cheaper than the PS3 at launch, I'll be getting it day one. Otherwise, Sony will have to wait a bit longer for my money.
Also hoping for a PS Vita/PS4 combo package...

I was late to the Bioshock party, but I definitely see what this article is getting at. So much of what has been great about this generation is summarised in one - or both - of these fantastic games!
