Yeah, I'm the same. Never really played another fighting game in my life. But a few more game modes would certainly be good. Just some simple minigame based modes would be excellent, like having to collect LBP Bubbles that appear around the stage faster than your opponent would be great.
While I'm not a journalist, I've got to say that I know the feeling. I played the Beta, and was not at all impressed. But the more I've played of it, the more I realise that it's a bit of a tragedy that it didn't do as well as it should have done.
I agree. I've only played about an hour and a half of the game so far, but I've been seriously blown away by this game. So far, it is in no way the best game ever made. And in fact, everything Tomb Raider tries to do, another game seems to do better. For that reason, I would never give it a perfect mark.
But the fact is that no other developer managed to combine into a single game so much of what has made this last generation so good! It might not be the most innovati...
I agree. It was uncommon. I have several friends who have never faced it.
I, unfortunately, did see my launch console break in this way, but that was after a year of its fans being EXTREMELY loud. In a way, that was a warning.
I'm not at all bitter. I got several years out of it, and I was very pleased with my slim replacement, which hasn't had a single problem! It also meant that I could upgrade my HDD, which is something I needed to do anyway.
My thoughts exactly. The article is atrociously unbalanced!
I'm already excited. I don't need a list to tell me why :P
But this really should be a fantastic game! Hopefully one of the last great games of this generation!
I know what you're saying, and I agree; there really isn't a huge amount of different moves, apart from the jump and shoot commands.
But I think that just shows how talented the people at Naughty Dog are, and how incredible the series is as a result.
It needs to be different enough from the last 5 games. I really thought that ACIII would be a step forward for the series. Shame about that, really...
From what I gathered, you still use your standard SEN account name, but you will be seen by your friends (or the people you allow) by your first name. Everybody else will see your gamertag, or SEN ID.
Bioshock Infinite is right at the top of my list at the moment. Second place was originally given over to Sly, but with the review scores for Tomb Raider looking extremely promising, and being a big fan of Uncharted, as well as the earlier Tomb Raider games, I think Lara might have just taken the second spot!

Yeah, I actually spent most of my evening trying to sort through files on my PS3 to make enough space for Mass Effect 1.
Very true. I've had a 250GB hdd for the last three years, and the last two years of that, I've been struggling for space! And for the first year, I was lacking an internet connection!
Well, whether it's hated or not, I'm still enjoying Aliens: Colonial Marines!
*Raises hand*
I do.
I keep thinking this: How on earth can paid-for Xbox Live actually work when their competitors are doing it for free? And this is the time when it will hit them hard if they don't change their ways and drop the subscription. The main reason the 360 did so well because it had the jump on all the other consoles. MS don't have that luxury this time round, and it's little things like this that are going to lose them customers big time.
Hmm...
While the journalists are not to blame for the quality of the game, they are partially to blame for hyping a game up that they clearly had very little knowledge about that extended further than a year-old demo.
And after playing through some of the game, I have to say it is certainly not awful. Definitely not going to go down as one of the greatest games of all time, but it is certainly playable.
The first video in this article really does it for me. I haven't yet got my copy of the game (it's still in the post), and so this was the first I'd seen of ACTUAL gameplay. To see it compared with the demo is physically painful.
Up until now, I was holding out hope, thinking that it would "still be an Aliens game", so even if it was glitchy and badly-written, it would still "feel" right. But the game looks terrible compared to what I was expec...

Actually, after reading your comment, I'm fairly convinced. While the gliding sections of Arkham City weren't exactly "flying", a lot of the same mechanics could be used, such as the "drop attacks" that Batman could perform.
As a Batman fan, I'd still prefer another Arkham game (maybe where part of the game sees you returning to the abandoned Asylum to hunt for a villain in the ruins). But pretty much any DC hero gam...
It almost certainly is Rico. The thing extending from his left hand looks like a variation on the hookshot from Just Cause 2. I really hope this is Next Gen. I can't imagine how wonderful this game would be on the PS4!
I personally think there should be a clear divide between the two. I'm not saying that games can't be both realistic and happy, but I think it's important to have games that focus heavily on both aspects.
There's nothing wrong with invariantly happy games, like LittleBigPlanet, if that's what you're in the mood for. But emotionally striking games are important to the industry, especially during this time when the gaming medium is making the transition ...
