Interesting (and also, very sad) that two of the three games you mentioned were in development by Free Radical. Such a good company. Certainly didn't deserve what they suffered.

They gave it over to Free Radical, because at the time Free Radical were able to offer the possibility of ground-space battles.

Mr. Freeze was a good boss in Arkham City. Okay, it wasn't too difficult to work out what to do, but until you knew exactly which tricks you could use against him, it was really quite tense.

Still undecided about this. I have the Sly Trilogy (a series which I'd never played before PS3), and have ben a fan of Jak and Daxter for a LONG time, and so thoroughly enjoyed the HD version of that series. And I do actually own the entire Ratchet and Clank PS2 series, but haven't really played them properly.

Is it worth getting this version?

The thing is, there's no denying that this is the first game in the series that has actually tried to do something different to what they did with "Lego Star Wars: The Video Game".

Sure, Lego Harry Potter added a free-roam aspect to the game, but it never really felt like a great addition.

I don't think another Batman game would oversaturate the market. I think another THREE Batman games might, but there's still room for Batman in a third game.

I really wouldn't like having a huge Gotham to explore. One of the best things about Arkham Asylum was how claustrophobic the entire game felt. Arkham City, despite being bigger, still felt claustrophobic because of the extreme detail and the sheer 3D, layered nature of the game. A game where you have the Batmobile to drive around in suggests that there's a lot of places that aren't particularly interesting.

In my opinion, their best bet is to either set it at a n...

Also, if this IS a hint at DLC, by process of elimination... Nightwing playable missions?

I doubt this very much. Both the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City Facebook groups have been posting concept art from the two games over the last few days. This picture, along with the same tagline, was posted on the ASYLUM facebook page just the other day.

Be fair.. It is BETTER. But that really isn't saying very much... It wasn't exactly going to get worse.

Still, its a thousand miles away from the simplicity of the original boxart.

That would be THE ultimate sell-out. XD

Yes, of course its a copy! But it's been 4 years since the last Super Smash Bros. game; more than enough time for games developers to be deciding they want to experiment in the genre!

I mean, come on... if there was this much fuss every time a new FPS war games came out, with people claiming it was a copy of Call of Duty, then there'd not be enough space for REAL news.

Also, in an attempt to remain positive, I REALLY like the slanted Batman logo faded into the background.

There is still the possibility that this will just be a cardboard sleeve... after all, one of the draws to Arkham City's cover art was how simple and basic it was. Why would they throw that away?

So hopefully a cardboard sleeve... hopefully...

I have to say that Red Hood would be a good way to go. It would allow Batman to be seriously haunted, not just by Jason's death, but now by the Joker's death, as the Red Hood will remind him of the Joker (especially if they closely link the two). Also, Red Hood is gritty enough to exist in the Arkhamverse with little changes needed.

HOWEVER, I big part of Jason Todd/The Red Hood's character is the fact that he is angry at Batman for not avenging his death by killi...

Glad I didn't buy this now. I much prefer inverted; it seems much more logical to me.

I seem to remember that I traded in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit with the online pass still valid. I never bothered with it, because I decided I didn't like the game before I'd even taken it online.

There is no way to hide it; Online Passes are ONLY designed to draw more money into the large corporations. They don't really benefit anyone else at all.
