Well this is unexpected.
It's a fantastically logical step. With the video game industry growing more and more mainstream every day, hopefully more actors will bridge the gap between the two media.
It already began a few years back, with the likes of Portal 2.
I'm a bit of a Trekkie (and also the offspring of a Trekkie!), and so this game really interests me. May be worth picking up when it drops below a tenner?
I used to preorder all the time, but then I got stung by Aliens: Colonial Marines, and will now be a lot more careful.
But in general, preordering games seems like a good idea. It supports the developer more, which is usually good. But it does annoy me when games have various preorder packages depending on where you buy them from, with the exclusive content remaining exclussive for several months.
These screenshots look incredible! Telltale have done a first class job of capturing the art and atmosphere of the comic books! And the expression on Bigby's face in screenshot 2 is perfect for the character.
If I didn't know it was a screenshot, I'd have believed that the office picture was actually taken directly out of the comics.
Simply cannot wait for this game!
So pleased they added in Harley's costume. It was seriously lacking from the original game, and while the more modern versions of the costume (Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, New 52 and both Injustice costumes) are great, none of them seem to capture the twisted, fun-loving nature of the character quite like this one.
Yeah, I've enjoyed it so far. Frequent, temporary freezing plagues the PS3 version though, due to how often the game saves.
But the interactions between the characters are genuinely entertaining.
Really? Red Hood is completely different; his main weapons would surely be his dual pistols.
This looks... really quite interesting!
Looking forward to this! Only just started reading Fables, but finding it to be a surprisingly engaging world!
I agree; while I'm not expecting Origins to be as good as the previous two games, I feel they'd have to try pretty hard to screw this up...
Nightwing is already in the game...
But I agree with the rest!
@ Erudito87
"would slaughter everyone in injustice"
That's why they won't put him in :P
@ Captain Qwark 9
Brainiac would be amazing as well! He could have such a diverse range of attacks and abilities that were completely different to the current characters.
Whereas Batgirl will be very similar to Batman and (to a lesser extent) Nightwing, and General Zod will almost be a Superman clone...
I know. But I want the focus to be on the single player. That's what's kept this series going; the extraordinary single player storyline. If too much focus is taken off it...
I agree completely. And adding in a Mortal Kombat character seems like a bit of a cheat to me; especially for those who have bought the season pass, expecting 4 great DC characters.
Personally, I wanted to see Red Hood appear. His combination of classic Robin-style acrobatic fighting and dual-gun-wielding moves would have made him perfect for this game.
No reviews of this game yet?
I agree. I really don't want multiplayer in this.
I can see a Jak and Daxter movie working out really well. Not sure how a LBP movie would work, but it sounds adorable!
Not sure about that cover... but hopefully it will grow on me.
It's nice to see confirmation of the Joker, too. But what I really want to see is something that resembles gameplay.
