LMAO @ DrWan's comments...
(LOL..."Magic Sauce"...'nuff said right there!)
Sorry for ourselves only IF we pay any attention to all these Rent-A-Writers.
From a different perspective, never has there been such an amazing, AMAZING time to be a gamer. Sh|t, even the non-gamers are now gamers thanks to the Wii.
I think what's happened is that the game industry has had such an incredibly strong & influential cultural and financial impact on the mass-market over the recent years, we've sadly lost focus of actually what's important:
<...
Is this the same version that came out on UMD a few years ago?
If so, I was interested in the game back then; I recall the reviewers griping about how it was REALLY hard, and therefore REALLY frustrating. But then again, it IS G&G...I've always found that game a pain in the a$$.
But twenty bucks sounds too expensive for this title, no?
EDIT:
@DrWan
Looks like we're on the same page about this one. Nice to see you back in the lab ...
"...IF people dont want a wifi or internet or rechargeble batteries or play online, your argument goes out the window."
But that's MY point: The keyword in your previous statement is "IF."
IF they want to just play games, they could pick up a Gamecube...or even better: A PS2.
But, for all intents & purposes, 360 owner's WON'T just buy a 360 and be done with it...their clueless PARENTS might...but when the kids realize that they c...
"i heard constantly from various sources that the visuals were going to knock our sucks off( this jaffe guy)! And it is all they can come up with?"
If GoW3 does nothing more than EQUAL the graphical calibre of Killzone 2, R&C, and Uncharted, then consider me satisfied.
But I have a gut feeling that this studio has - and will develop within the year's time - a few tricks of their own.
As badly as I want this game in my hands, I need some extra time to get through a batch of my yet-to-be-touched games:
Far Cry 2, LBP, Socom: Confrontation, Lair (yes, I said LAIR), RB 2, GHWT, Killzone: Liberation, Socom 2 (PSP)...and that's not counting my batch of untouched PC and Wii games, and my many other PS3 games that have been put on the back-burner because of the above arrivals, or any of this year's other anticipated titles (namely RE5 & GT5).
...and ...
My God, Aquanox...for the sake of your reputation and the item you obviously proudly bestow in your avatar image, please PLEASE tell me you're being sarcastic, because you've otherwise subjected yourself to a quite blatant pot-calling-kettle-black situation with that comment.
@LastDance
"It does the basic - play video games"
So does the Gamecube.
The 360's value is highly subjective and easily arguable. I'm not going to get into details ...
This tidbit only states that the demo will be made available "prior to launch"...which could very well mean the day before release.
Incidentally, I received a nice surprise phone call just yesterday afternoon, from the EB Games where I long-ago reserved my KZ2 pre-order. They were calling me to let me know that the preorder demo codes were in, and that they will be active starting February 5th.
That provides us demo code owners with quite a bit of playtime...
Ironically, the only reason I never bought Fallout 3 was because I never thought I had a hope in Hell of completing it due to the long gameplay. Otherwise, I was (and AM) massively interested in that game.
Go figure...who knew???
Big, fat DISAGREE!
Hardcore gamers are still there, except that we now have the rise of the "casual" (Read: NOOB) gamer
If anything, the Wii could only contribute to the birth of more core gamers, once these new, casual gamers realize what fun they've been missing all these years, and decide to graduate to a gaming system with more "Coglioni".
There's no ignoring that the Wii has indeed created an incredible phenomena: I can't expres...
I've been reading your comments, raving about the death animations, but this is the first time I've actually seen it.
Never in a million years could I imagine it would look as good as what that video shows!...It's just so...I don't know...FLUID!
So far, it's shaping to very well be a game that exceeds the hype, unlike "other" <cough>GTA4<cough> titles.
LMAO at the overlay music...LOL, looks like the Ballet From Hell!
I've gotta say, my initial impression on the graphics & details was, "wow!", as I never expected the game to look as good as it did.
Last night was my second go at it, and I've begun to notice some graphical rough edges...but I'm only nitpicking; the game nonetheless still looks and SOUNDS dazzling.
My problem is that, when I bought it, I had no idea that the game took as long as it does to complete, nor did I know that it is as immersive and opened-end...
"MS 360 STILL AHEAD IN SALES"
Yeah, but sales for M&M's, Eggo Waffles and Depend Undergarments utterly blow "teh MS 360" right outta the stratosphere.
'nuff said.
You are correct, although having Killzone ported to the 360 would still prove beneficial to it's fanbase by serving as the most outstanding-slideshow screensaver utility ever to be on the console. ;)
"Opinions are like penises! Evereyone has one..."
I certainly hope not! If that ever does happen, please kindly shoot me dead.
Twice. ;)
But until then, KZ2 will remain on the forefront of my beloved, expanding PS3 library.
I've recently started playing through Killzone: Liberation, to serve as an appetizer for next month.
So far, I'm not that far into the game, but I haven't learned anything groundbreaking yet.
Can anyone here who's played through Liberation know if the game will help immerse me into the general Killzone universe, or would anyone recommend that I actually pick up the first Killzone (if I can find it, that is.)
OMG...LMFAO!
Here I am, for some unknown reason, sifting through these comments, and I just can't understand what the deal is with all you 360 guys and sales.
I think they have a term for that:
Grasping at straws.
And what's with that creepy avatar??? It in no way helps your already-pitiful, dying cause, and it sure as Hell ain't gonna help convince me to buy a 360.
Therefore, I beg you to please change your avatar already, and...
Movie Voice Guy FTW!!!
This will no doubt help sooth my craving for some more Resistance lovin'.
That man really IS everywhere!
I'm on the verge of doing that right now, with trying to get through friggin' Killzone: Liberation...
Nicely polished, addictive game and all, but MAN do some of those set-pieces drive me up the wall!!!
The (literally) Hit-and-miss aiming system doesn't help either.
