What right do you have to call others "fool", when you're actually EAGER to hand MORE money to Microsoft - the sum of an amount which will no doubt FAR exceed the price of the PS3 - while you've been currently getting repeatedly reamed HARD from behind from this same company who's been providing you with unreliable, shoddy equipment and a product life cycle that appears to be a mere one-third of the length of the PS2's?

By the looks of it, by the time you done playing y...

"...if a company is makign a multiplat game they are NOT gonan make one system look better then the other even if they could."

Not necessarily.

Look at when programmers were making the same games for different computer systems years ago, such as the then-monochromatic PC, Vic 20, Commodore 64, Amiga, Macintosh, etc, where each version demonstrated vast technological differences from one another.

Same goes for older consoles: Playing Donkey Kong...

Don't feel so bad: I was one of the suckers who stood in one of the unusually freezing-cold GTA4 midnight launch lineups.

At least I had the sense to bring my Ratchet & Clank-loaded PSP to distract me from feeling the initial effects of the permanently-damaging frostbite. ;)

I expected to see 9/10 by the time my page refreshed.

Meh, means nothing; odds are pretty good that it'll blow away most of the other "perfect-score" games, as far as my expectations are concerned.

Which reminds me: Anyone know what these guys gave GTA4 and Assassin's Creed?...my God those critically-acclaimed games felt like watching paint dry after spending a few hours with them.

Perfect Tens my Ass.

Since we're on the subject, I recently bought Lair at Walmart for a cool $17! I do look forward to trying it out for myself, as even the haters can't deny that the visuals and audio are absolutely breathtaking.

Problem is, I've yet to open it, as I've got a ridiculous pile of other awesome new PS3 games I'm still working through...and once February 27th hits...well, we all know how that's gonna turn out.

Still, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Lair, and to be honest, I'...

"Why would you want to jump into the Grand Canyon?"

I wouldn't know, but it is a comforting thought.

Still, it's not far-fetched, considering his obvious lack of logic, reasoning, and triple-digit IQ.

Ahh, nice to dream.

Perhaps those screenshots don't do CoJ justice, but to be honest, those pics you presented give me the impression that the game is primarily comprised of very nicely-detailed texture maps coated with a hefty serving of bump-mapping, which are pasted upon relatively few, on-screen low-polygon models...whereas Uncharted feels like a real world; everything...every on-screen object seems to have it's own realistic lifelike presence.

In fairness, I've yet to see CoJ in motion, and the...

My God, what the Hell are you smoking???

Sorry, but you leave me no choice:

Nathan Drake wears a SWEATER, not a T-shirt!!!...that's TWO whole sleeves the graphic's engine's gotta render, bub! Next time, please THINK before you shoot your mouth off.

Err, oh yeah...as for all the rest of what you said:

Spectacular, spot-on, passionate, entertaining and definitely bubble-worthy.

Bubbles for summing it up oh-so-perfectly!

It boggles my mind as to the overwhelming number of individuals who possess such skewed perceptions; many of those critics are the same ones who wouldn't think twice about dropping no less than $400 for a measly f*cken cellphone.

is Section 8???

If it's THAT good, I'll get it for PC.

But, it likely won't be.

To be honest, I'm all FPS'd out at the moment, and whatever present tolerance I have left for the genre is eagerly reserved for February 27th, 2009.

Uh, no.

Duly noted; no need to defend your selections, as it's subjective and all in good fun!

For what's it's worth, I had a blast reading through it, and it actually got my brain taking a trip through euphoric Digital Memory Lane. As a result, I may have to now fire up MAME to fulfill an unexpected 8-bit fix.

Ahh, good times...good times indeed!

BTW: I agree with your choosing the NES controller over the Dual Shock.

Maybe for you.

Uh, seriously: please tell us you're being sarcastic.

I'd have to substitute the NES gamepad with the controller for the grandfather of all hardcore home video game systems: The Atari 2600.

Sure, it only had a single button, and the functional and lasting quality was sorta gimped, but that my friends, was a REAL "joystick" by true definition!

As far as the rest of the list is concerned, I wholeheartedly agree with Pacman and Mario.

However, although my once-beloved Sonic also immediately popped i...

Did you guys know that the Ultimate Warrior is actually a licensed chiropractor?

Must've come in quite handy for his colleagues on many a brutal work night. ;)

but I've personally always strongly suspected that it was able to do so, and would actually eventually be enabled by Sony one day...likely if (or when?) Sony ever decides to release PS2 titles over PSN.

Think about it logically: PS3 is proven to be a friggin' beast of a number-cruncher; I reckon it can chew up and spit out even the most demanding PS2 title with utmost ease.

Holy crap: 1.7GB!!!...what's with all these super-sized demos over the past couple of years???

(MAN, I've been playing a lot of FPS's as of late.)

Holy crap, Sajj, look what you started!

Can't feel left out by not contributing to this eventful celebratory ID-swapping:

PSN: T0rchy (that's spelled with the NUMBER zero.)

(Oooh, I now feel kinda dirty; hope this doesn't give me some sort of cyber-herpes.)

Mmmmm...good one!

Funny how that gets a fee pass. (and it STILL ain't f*cken fixed!!!)
