Hope they're just being conservative, as I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time.
If the game plays like the amazing Siphon Filter series, then the lack of a second analog stick is negligible...besides, there is always the (somewhat-hindering) option of playing with the Sixaxis via the PS3 for full dual-analog glory.
Bah!...Regardless: Pre-ordered and waiting!
Between House of the Dead and this game, this past month is the most intrigued I've been about turning on my Wii since buying the system at launch over two years ago.
It's definitely reassuring to see more mature games coming out for the system.
LMAO at the horrendous, unbearable image you crammed into my head.
Don't forget the scruff. Gotta have some facial scruff.
As well as the black-sock-bearing wife-beater flip-flop sandals...
And oh, don't forget the burning cigarette hanging from the mouth with about an inch's worth of ash at the tip, which is just about on the verge of breaking off and falling onto stained, damaged linoleum flooring.
There, that's better.
Now p...
I must admit that this person has left quite an impression on me:
Evidently barely eight years old, and already a CGI Engineer.
Now THAT'S ambition, if I ever did see it.
According to a fellow member of this site, it's apparently delayed until March 19th; however, the Trophy patch is still to be released for today (haven't checked myself.)
Which reminds me to reiterate what I said in a previous post:
EB Games on the greater Toronto area (specifically Brampton) had used versions of this game for only $15(!) - as of last Friday, Feb. 27th, anyhow.
At that price, it's a steal - with or without the Titan Pack!
LOL
Awww, you serious??? Damn, was looking forward to downloading it this week.
Oh well, guess I'll have to opt for my (friendless) PC version for now.
BTW: Just a heads-up for those of you living in Canada considering purchasing the PS3 game as a result of this update:
While at EB last week to pick up my Killzone pre-order, I noticed a bunch of used PS3-version UT3's on sale for a cool $15! Couldn't resist and picked up a copy in anticipation for this up...
"Gran Turismo" of shooters..."
Good one. Bubbles for coining a potentially soon-to-be-popular phrase.
As far as I'm concerned, the controls are perfect; auto-aim/aim-assist is for toddlers and should henceforth be limited to product deriving from Fisher-Price.
LMAO...Bubbles!
This level is just...WOW!!!
lucky bastard ): i gotta wait till MIDNIGHT
Oh, I'll be RECEIVING my copy at ten in the morning, I just won't be able to play until later than night, when everyone else in my house is finally unconscious.
(Be it by will or my blunt force, in this particular case!)
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing just the other day.
I tried Gears on my PC and - as shiny as it looked - I just can't get into the gameplay. That said, I'm also a big fan of the UT franchise, and respect Epic as a company...more so after hearing about their hefty (FREE!) UT3 Titan expansion pack due to hit next week (March 5th???).
My hats off to them for offering us UT3 owners such an allegedly ground-breaking update.
Something about UT's no-nonsen...
Agree once again.
And you're not the only one who senses the anti-PS3 bias.
Don't know what it is, but it's there, and the employees aren't shy to rudely express it in front of customers, which in my opinion, is among the worst employee practice for any business.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Strange thing...I merely read "Uncharted Comparison", and thought it was a comparison of Uncharted vs. it's upcoming sequel.
When I scrolled down the comparative set of pics, I couldn't help but think to myself, "Oh my God, what the Hell have Naughty Dog done?...Uncharted 2 looks significantly worse than the first game!"
I took me a bit of scrolling before I realized that the screen captures were from Gears. B...
Don't blame you. Honestly, I see little benefit to pre-ordering, as doing so locks your money with that particular company.
The only reason I have a prepaid pre-order is because I took advantage of their "Trade-in Three For Free" EB was running at the time.
Although I must admit that it is nice to just show up at the store and pick up your prepaid game without reaching for your wallet!
advising me that my prepaid copy will be available first thing tomorrow morning.
Gotta at least hand that to them; getting that phone call telling me to pick up Killzone made me feel warm and fuzzy. XD
...at least until they ruined the moment by requesting that I bring in any unwanted games in exchange for an in-store credit valued at the nominal fraction-of-the-cost I initially paid for them.
EDIT:
I officially eat my words about their used game t...
I agree.
Not more than two minutes ago have I logged off my PS3 from playing (i.e, trophy whoring) Uncharted, and seeing the above screenshot compelled me to think of Naughty Dog's game.
Whoops, my bad...it appears that my Italian managed to sneak in a bit of influence there!
Yo chiero Taco Bell!
;)
"I don't know what to say."
Then don't say.
"...same team as syphon filter."
I didn't know that. Makes me look forward to it even more, since they're my two favorite PSP games, second only to God of War.
