I've used this feature since day one, and continue to do so. Religiously.
My typical usage:
Digital Media on PC > PS3 > PSP > SD Television in kitchen.
Can't do without it.
I'd STILL be playing Resistance 1 if I wasn't so stupid as to trade it in towards a credit for the sequel.
I regret letting go of that game more than any other game I've ever sold or traded.
*sheds tear*
Funny...I have the opposite viewpoint.
My cousin is a die-hard Socom fan - used to be amongst the top-ranked PS2-based clans, as a matter of fact.
For his birthday this past October his girlfriend bought him a PS3, so I couldn't resist buying him the then-newly-released Socom package, and doing so soon compelled me to pick up Socom as well, and ride along the coattails of his clan.
To tell you the truth, I've been having a very hard time getting into the...
Yeah, I noticed the "2008" as well...however, I can assure you that mine was running in 1080i.
Regarding the controls: I liked them right off the bat. Added to the realism of the game, as I often had to remind myself on a few occasions that it was only a video game.
Funny thing about the game's control responsiveness: They must've really affected me, because following a run through the demo, I messaged a few buddies of mine, and moving the cursor across ...
San Frandisco is 100% right: The PS3's ability to be a full-blown media center is nothing short of amazing.
I recommend you install TVersity Media server - or even better: the recent PS3-specific PS3 Media Server - to your PC, and stream all your media files to your PS3 (or PSP if you have one!).
I can't imagine doing without it, to be honest. I can't recall when the last time was I inserted a non-Blu-Ray movie into the disc slot, as all my movies are in a digital ...
Jealous, bitter, and agonizingly desperate much?
**Reported for being off-topic...and a lying Jackass**
Well said as usual.
I'm sure that whatever Mart said is comprised of her usual historic bullsh|t spam and flamebait - likely worthy of nothing more than the habituation of my Ignore list.
Meanwhile, I look forward to seeing you guys in Killzone 2's online later this month.
@Dimitri
Where do you get off calling Gambare a 'noob' stupid, and retard, where all the while you're complaining about a fifteen minute demo?
Key word being DEMO. ...
Yes, click on "Latest Releases", and it's the first icon in the upper-left corner...I too was expecting it be showcased on the main splash page.
BTW: Some others here made comments about their Gamestop/EB Games Demo Code not working...neither is mine. To be honest, I've got little faith in those particular codes (or Gamestop/EB, for that matter), more so ever since they screwed me over with my two dud Resistance 2 Beta codes, neither of which worked by the time I rece...
"...they gave liberation 40/100..."
Yeah, I can confirm that they did indeed (or a 2-out-of-5, to be exact), because it made me do a double-take when I saw it a couple of days ago.
I'm playing through KZ: Liberation for the first time right now as a sort of, err, appetizer - for February 27th. Currently on the penultimate level, and I can vouch that it's an amazing, detailed and addictive game.
The only gripe(?) I have about it is that the dif...
I'm sorry if this may inconvenience you, but would be so kind at to please validate your links?
Here I am sitting at my PC with Notepad, SoundForge, and Vegas Pro running, all giddy and exited that I'd be learning how to make a commercial, and all your links seem to pull up are some ads for a couple of video games for which I haven't even the slightest interest.
Thank you sincerely in advance for your kind, selfless contribution.
Oh, by the way: Since I...
I love the in-your-face intertwining of the Superbowl with the ad.
"Enjoy the game."
Awesome pun.
BTW: I will!
That's great to hear; it's about f*cken time.
@chaosatom:
I tried no more than a week-and-a-half ago - to no avail. Perhaps by "compatible", you mean browseable?...and yes, on a few occasions, the browser and/or N4G crashed my PS3 to the point of having to manually reboot it.
No, I haven't.
As I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, I've yet to play MGS3, although I have heard exactly what you're claiming from MANY sources - that The End is arguably the best boss fight EVER.

Yeah, after posting my above comment last night, it got me to trying to put my finger on exactly why I couldn't qualify any boss battles as legendarily epic.
I think a large part of the reason is that they were relatively short-lived, in addition to the fact that the boss battles were more akin to a flashy, high-budget Universal Studios thrill ride. Which isn't at all a BAD thing; they just didn't have that sort of thought-provoking, time-enduring depth to them, even though most...
I'm a HUGE fan of Resistance, but to be honest, I tried to think through the series, and despite my many, MANY enjoyable, jaw-dropping, and awe-inspiring experiences with R1 & R2, I had a really hard time recalling any epic boss battles of the sort which gets ingrained into your psyche for many years to follow, similar to the experience I've had with those from the MGS series.
OMG, I wanna kick myself!
How in the world could I forget the GoW bosses??? Man, even most of the Chains of Olympus bosses were epic...err, on a miniature scale, of course.
Good times indeed.
I've GOTTA get that game...been hearing waaay too many good things, yet I know so little about it.
And it's dirt-cheap now too.
Damn...I never DID beat Mike Tyson!
Otherwise, even though bosses from the Metal Gear series was honoured with a twenty percent chunk of this list, I can't help but feel the MGS love notably absent from this list - as silly as that may sound.
My mind keeps flashing and jumping from one epic MGS fight to another, be it Psycho Mantis from MGS1, Vamp from MGS2, or EVERY SINGLE boss battle from MGS4.
So many unique, defining moments, I think it would be chal...
Do any XBoxes still work???
"...According to them even a Radeon 3870 or Geforce 8800 GTS with 640 VRAM are sufficient for 1680x1050 resolution."
I can personally attest to that, as I enjoyed the demo at 1650x1080 with all features cranked right up using my trusty 320MB(!) GeForce 8800GTS (no overclocking.)
For anyone interested, I'm also running a normally-clocked Core2 Quad Q6600 CPU
The demo ran AMAZINGLY well...and was quite impressive and enjoyable, might I add. Lots...
