Anyone be kind enough to provide the direct link for the drivers?
The one in the article brings me to a 'page not found' on NVidia's website, and (similar to bourner's situation above me), the site claims that the latest driver available for my 8800GTS is dated late June (version 175.xx). o_O
"I regret buying the Wii now"
Count me in...
Well, sort of.
In retrospect, I definitely wouldn't have bought one. But now that I own one (since launch), I can't get myself to sell the damn thing, even though my archaic VCR gets more use.
Probably just the pack-rat in me. I keep telling myself that, one day, I WILL play that copy of Zelda TP that's been collecting dust alongside the little white box.
Hopefully.
"Could someone please tell me what's the deal with all these 2 disc blu-ray movies?"
You're gonna faint then, when I tell you that my 'Planet Earth' is comprised of four (25gig) Blu-rays.
I suppose they could've gone with a multi-layer solution, but I'm assuming spanning across more of the minimal-size discs is more cost-effective. Ironically, the Blu-ray version doesn't appear to have the extra 'behind the scenes' features that is included in the standard...
"...this is one game that I HAVE to play for myself..."
Funny you mention that. Just today, I've been debating whether to pre-order this game.
Funny thing is, what I've seen of it so far OUTRIGHT impresses me, and I REALLY DO want to play it. But for some reason, I don't have that same, "would pre-order in a heartbeat" feeling like I've got with Resistance 2.
I can't put my finger on it, but perhaps it's because I'm afraid that the ...
Give the guy some credit for being one of the few members here who actually puts a hefty dose of thought and consideration into their posts...unlike the usual senseless noise we're all accustomed to.
Needless to say, you don't need to read it, but I highly recommend you do; there's some really good, thought-provoking stuff in there. ;)
Uh, but...
...Well, on the contrary...
...Actually, the author was insinuating...
...
Meh, never mind.
Sadly, your comments indicate that the prefrontal lobe damage is too severe for you to ever understand.
Nonetheless, have fun with your 360!...and be sure to plug it in and have an adult hook it up to a TV set for MAXIMUM benefit!!!
(and best of luck with the medication.)
Immediately following MGS4 (unless I succumb to the very strong temptation of another play-through!), Assassin's Creed, which I've owned since last Christmas(!!!), will FINALLY be the next game I tackle.
But you're one of the many, many people who've mentioned that it get boring and repetitive rather quickly...I'm hoping that I've conditioned myself to UNDER-expect enough to actually end up liking the game. ;)
Whore!!! ;)
Curious: How come you chose the 360 Rock Band over the PS3?
Oh. Pardon my brain-fart.
I see we share some similar tastes...and titles:
-FNR3
-VF5 (minus the online...arrrgh!)
-GT5P
-Darkness was almost a buy, but ended up renting (and enjoying) it
-was anticipating getting FIFA even before having my launch PS3, but the demo and reviews disappointed me.
I surprised myself by counting ten of my own titles in there...not including COD4 and Half Life 2 (c'mon...it's ALMOST like the orange box, right???) on the PC.
@cmrbe (4.0):
An enthusiastic "INDEED!!!"...Man, I just can't get myself to strive towards finishing the final battle in Act 5...I honestly don't want it to end. :(
...well, errr...that, and by the time I get the opportunity to play it, it's usually too late at night to sit through the assumi...
I think you're right.
Critics scoff at Sony's claim that the PS3 will have a ten year lifespan, but if history is any indicator, this is not a far-fetched claim by any stretch of the imagination.
-The PSOne was announced as ended in production only TWO years ago...some eleven or twelve years following launch!!!
-The PS2 is STILL going strong after launching eight years ago, with over one hundred new games yet to be released!
If you stop and ...
I think it's more of a customer service thing...one of those unwritten requirements that Canadian customers have come to expect with large retailers.
I've ordered stuff from other Canadian websites where there was no remaining quantities stated and received the product promptly.
On the other side of the coin, I've purchased online from Best Buy and Future Shop on a number of ocassions, only to receive an email advising that they'll ship "as soon as product becom...
"The CELL is useless i think"
Wow, that must be the most ironic statement I've ever read in my life.
*Enthusiastically slams 'Ignore' and proceeds to finish Act Five of Metal Gear Solid 4.*
But I couldn't help but notice and point out the Gravis PC gamepad in the story's image.
...Ah, my first GREAT PC gamepad...toppled only by the exquisite and ergonomic MS Sidewinder gamepad, which FINALLY allowed true control mapping of well more than the measly standard of two buttons (thanks in part to DirectX and Win98, if I correctly recall.)
Good times, good times indeed...
...Uh, carry on with, ummm...whatever this story's about. ;)
"N4G will not save the ps3 hahahaha"
Nor your bubbles.
A 'Flop"...
is a game that no one buys..."
...and pp.
I'm with you, Tacki...dunno, just couldn't get into it.
Graphically, it looked pretty cool, but the limited visibility gave me more frustration than it did goosebumps. And I recall finding the movement control a little awkward.
If I had to think of a game that freaked me out, it had to be The Darkness...specifically during the Hell level...MORE specifically the part when the demons would randomly pop in my way as I'm trying to make my escape.
I'm willin...
See, but that's the thing.
I'd bet my left testicle that this was all part of the grand scheme of things. I can't even begin to fathom that all those smart cookies at Nintendo overlooked such obvious flaws.
But that goes well in hand with Nintendo's shrewd business and marketing practices. Not unlike those cut-throat overlords over at Disney, Nintendo has done an absolutely FABULOUS job at portraying as an innocent, family-friendly corporate image who treats revenu...
Another peripheral they can cram down our throats.
What pisses me off is that, very much like that new "Enhanced Motion Sensor", this is something that should have been integrated into the initial design of their PRODUCT, not their income statement.
A huge disservice to their gaming fans...especially the Soccer Moms and pre-teens who keep naively feeding cash into the mouth of this money-hording beast.
Thanks a million, Sloshy!
The least I can do is bubble you up for your kind efforts.
Cheers. :)

Holy crap!...2.7 gigs to download everything!
