I didn't even notice that!!!
Maybe because I was too excited jumping up and down like a giddy little school girl as soon as I realized what had just been unveiled before my very eyes. :D
Now, where do I sign for the pre-order???
I know I'm in the minority, but from a Marketing Strategy standpoint, I thought Nintendo's presentation was very, very good.
Note that this isn't to say that "I" liked Nintendo's offerings...but there's no denying that they did a very clean job of conveying and solidifying their dominance of the Casual Gamer market.
And they executed it perfectly. Instead of ol' Reggie opening up the show, who comes out but none other than a rep loudly proclaiming that she...
Mmmmmreally.
Actually, it's SAFE to call me anything you want.
But it doesn't mean you'll be right.
Just because I gave the 360 a bad score makes me a Sony Fanboy.
Right.
It still doesn't change the fact that MS' press conference was pathetically uninspiring and disappointing, while Sony and Nintendo got their jobs done.
Don't like my scoring?
Too bad; get your own.
I'll give you an 'Agree'...
SONY: A-
Very well-rounded, informative, creative, and introduced new innovations, games, and even a kick-ass 256-player ip.
Some issues could have been addressed, namely Home's tentative release date...but with the Conference running a staggering hour-and-a-half...there was already an abundance of info being thrown out to the listeners.
NINTENDO: A-
Like 'em or not, Ninty was successful in addressing and reinforcing their core target market comprised of ...
Bubbles for the most concise summary of the press conference thus far.
I facepalmed myself so much throughout that pitiful conference, I nearly suffocated.
If Sony plays their cards right and have done their homework, this afternoon will easily be theirs for the taking.
Had it not been for SE's infamous whoring out of Final Fantasy, MS didn't even make it remotely interesting, let alone even TRY to put up a fight.
For the sake of the industr...
"I have ALWAYS said that the Wii had bad, inaccurate controls and yet the fanboys always said that "Obvioulsy you've never played the Wii"
I'm with you 100%
Man, upon first hearing about the Wii's <ahem> "revolutionary" new controller scheme, I can't exaggerate how excited I was...namely due to my anticipation with Wii Boxing and the likes of sword fighting games such as Red Steel.
In theory, the possibilities were ENDLESS!...
Accidental reply...sorry.
Thank you, thank you...I'm here till Thursday...<bats eyebrows like Groucho Marx>
But seriously:
What floored me more than the whoring out of FFXIII, was that MS didn't even have the sense (read: integrity) to at least even change the F*cken stylization of their new avatar Mii-ting screen from that of Nintendo's.
I had to do a double-take, as for a second could have sworn I was watching rogue video feed of the Wii's Mii channel.
They e...
Morganfell's right.
Let's put aside all this silly "stealing" nonsense and leave all that for the likes of those who do it best.
Like Mii-crosoft. :P
Epic...God bless Insomniac.
Kinda makes me wanna preorder all over again. :)
LOL!...ah, man...it seems like I can always turn to you for the occasional good chuckle!
..."Xii's"...just classic. Did you make that one up, or has it been already circulating the web since today's conference?
To be honest, I was a little slow to put it together, and I thought you were being serious until I read further.
I'd bubble you, bud I'd already done so earlier on. Consider it officially applied to your tab.
Ah. I'm tire...
They may not have liked it, but they definitely knew.
It certainly ain't the sort of news Sony is going to be parading around and promoting.
Have you at least CONSIDERED psychotherapy?
No. Seriously.
Your mundane, self-proclaimed sport of Trolling appears to be of the OCD variety.
While you're at it, you may want to explain "rhetorical"...that' s a whole four syllables, y'know.
(Not that doing so is going to have any significant positive impact on that sad, morbid example of Darwin's Theory of Evolution, unfortunately.)
I don't know if you're joking, but that may very well be a reality.
Oh, no...you weren't the only one.
I actually caught myself shaking my head at their pathetic lack of innovation repeatedly.
On a number of occasions, I sat there wondering whether some Sony or Nintendo lawyer was commencing the phone calls for the inevitable slew of impending lawsuits.
Is it just me, or did Adam, Morgan, and Kevin come across as poorly-performing actors trying to sound REALLY, really excited and enthusiastic about mediocre XBox 360 info and speculation ?...and I'm primarily talking about BEFORE the start of the conference
All that was missing was for the tech guy to light the "APPLAUSE" sign to cue the paid audience to clap excitedly.
Kinda makes me go "Hmmmmmm"...
"...does anybody smell reverse XMB?"
INDEED!!!
That was strange experience...throughout the entire conference, I caught myself actually shaking my head at their lackluster series of announcements...
From the slew of fly-by-night casual games, to the blatant Wii & PS3 ripoff of avatars, XMB, and Singstar...to the disappointing absence not even a single heavy-hitting IP announcement.
I seriously thought MS had raised the white flag.
Ninetynine percent of the show was pretty sad and pathetic indeed....
"...I live in Canada, maybe its not available here..."
Noh!!!...Don't even joke about that!...
<<Arms wailing uncontrollably, Torch frantically scurries to PS3, hoping to discredit this horrendous assumption. >>
