Welllll, MS technical support, especially telephone support always blowed. Their standard line after advising to switch on the monitor or check the power cables, would be to reinstall Windows. So if they blow with the XB360 support, that would be no surprise to anyone. Lame story... I don't like MS at all, but going after their technical support which everyone knows is as good as the engaged signal is a bit lame. It is like asking if a man strapped to a bed will win the 100m dash at the Olymp...
Wii is innovative because people want it. There is not a particular game that I want on it, except maybe the sports titles.
What I am looking forward to is The Getaway on the PS3, Ratchet & Clank for the kids, GT5, MGS and most probably the Singstar series. OH, Warhawk, Lair and Motorstorm. But the Wii I will most probably be forced into by the kids. They will see it, they will like it, and the graphics is not going to bother them.
BluRay movies for me, but ...
PS3 will dominate... The rumors was before launch that people are not interested, then ir would flop because of low production, and now apparently - they are "sitting on shelves"... yeah right... All from anonymous posters claiming to work at shop x y or z.
Hey... I own three different shops, and we have two thousand XB360's sitting in the back room for two years now, and no takers.... heck we could not get rid of it even when we tried to give them away with every tor...
So if it did not have online in the rest you would complain about that as well.... Are you living in Japan? Not? Then why do you feel the need to downplay it? Oh yeah... you missed the part that the Japanese don't play much online... but hey why confuse a good whining with the facts....
Oh my.... the BS of the green envious....
The PS3 is capable of more colors than the XB360 you diputs loof.
It is just xbots that try to downplay anything on the PS3 that pretend otherwise. My notebook computer has a NVidia 7800GS graphics card - which give comparable output ito colors as the PS3 - now tell me - does that mean that all NVidia graphics cards are giving somehow not "rich" colors? Come on - I can smell the BS you are talking - you must su...
You sound like some of those that I am commenting on...
Blu-Ray oversaturates the colors? Come on dude. The disk don't do it. If I store a jpg file on a 3.5" disk or a CD or DVD or HD-DVD or BR, then it is exactly the same file - which means exactly the same quality. No ifs or buts, it is the exact same file. Analysts and reporters talking out of their asses to try and influence people - and morons and technical illiterate fanboys repeating it as if it is fact.
...
No wait... they are going to release it with a CR-ROM only drive. 10 CD's for a R:FOM2.
If people take these kind f rumors seriously - then they can post as news that some scientist "proved" that the moon is made of cheese. Only Xbots and "analysts" take this seriously. It fits with their mentality. Hey - maybe they will cut out PS1 and PS2 compatibility too as well - and now - come to think of it, maybe the networking as well. Hell - while we are at it, may...
This is so obviously BS. There is absolutely no way this will ever happen.
"GadgetNutz's storybreaking reporter, The Bandito, has uncovered a developing story concerning Sony via his network of industry insiders."
His network of industry "insiders" is feeding him BS. The viral marketers and "reporters" come up with the most weird BS. What next? A PS3 with a HD-DVD drive? Or wait, why not a PS3 that only plays PS1 and PSP titles runn...
BluRay wins. HD-DVD is dead. Simple.
the BluRay has higher transfer rate, higher capacity. The rest is PR BS. The PS3 will fuel BR sales, and BR will fuel PS3 sales.
All the talk of "image quality" BS will die down. BluRay titles sales will overtake HD-DVD, and by the time it is selling ten times more, HD-DVD will be declared dead. The End
Heck... the day before the launch some claimed there is no people queuing to get a PS3. Then it was sold out, and the detractors announced doom and gloom as there is not available units, then the units is available for longer than an hour - and they claim it is "not selling".
Enough with this BS... people trying to get PS3's don't believe this BS anyway. Just check the history of biased / false news reports from these "reporters" and you will know why they ...
He is just correcting some of the morons out there waffling about "dull" colors etc. They choose a color palette to lend atmosphere to the game. If you like cartoon color graphics, then get a game that make use of the color palette that gives "bright" cartoon colors.
For those IDIOTS who try to claim that HD-DVD is somehow "superior" to BluRay, or somehow the image quality is "better"...
Well - the playback equipment will be EXACTLY the same, now get a VC1 BluRay and a VC1 HD-DVD - and please - try and claim that the one is somehow "better" than the other.
If for nothing else - this piece of equipment will sock it to this "reporters" and "analysts" who claim the one format is ...
So you have 70 new HD-DVD titles, you own a PS3, XB360, play a lot of games, and find time to be nearly the first one to post on any article, and you seem to man forums like a hawk....
Well, then you must be in the gaming industry... since you seem do be doing nothing else...
Or you are just plain talking out of your @ss
Hey, diputs loof.
How about copying a plain text file to a 3.5" drive, and then to the hard disk, and see if you can spot the difference in quality. Can't? Well, maybe copy the text file to a HD-DVD drive. Maybe it will somehow become better....
If you were fooled by these HD-DVD is superior "analysts" then you really show that they are doing a good job at spewing BS to the technically illiterate. I mean, they caught you... so it must be working.
...
It is a couple of files, saved on a disk. BluRay has more space available and higher transfer rate.
Any discussion about "image quality" is just misdirection to take attention away from the FACT that HD-DVD has less storage, and lower transfer rate. Those who try to claim that HD-DVD gives "better image quality" is just spewing BS. If you copy a Word document on a Seagate drive will it somehow become superior to the same file copied to a Samsung drive? Not?...
Read up on software protection. It changes. Some DVD copy protection is easy to crack, others not. If you crack one, it does not mean *all* are open for easy exploit. All copy protection is hackable in the end.
Anyway, who has BluRay writers to copy the games? Not many huh? One of the reason for using BluRay media for games is simply that access to writers to duplicate the programs is not as much as DVD's.
You will see many more XB360 games copied by more people...
THAMMER
You just don't get it do you? The PS3's are flying of the shelves. Sony can not keep up with production at the moment. But it does not matter really, as even more PS2's are flying of the shelve than XB360's (oh, where did the original go - dropped ehh?)
For those who want the lower cost one, there will be pink, silver, blue, purple and green or red PS2's plenty. And new titles that will keep on coming out even to 2008.
For those who want to "...
My goodness... the spin some try to put on stories. The PS3 is selling like hotcakes, Sony can not produce enough.. and some (like MS) try to claim it is "over".
Just simple FUD techniques to try to scare the consumer away.
The PS2 will be the best selling console through 2007, and most probably into 2008. The early adopters / hardcore are the only ones getting PS3's now, and the supply is not enough. Production will ramp up, Dec 2007 and 2008 will see...
Hi... Clearly MS is rewarding the trolls and viral marketers...
Keep up the good work at trashing the competition...

Want to know why Microsoft has so many people saying good things about it, despite endless security problems, high-prices, product lock-in, and a big-brother attitude towards using their products? They bribe people.
...
Before MS switches to BluRay. It is NOT twice the price.
It has more capacity, higher transfer rate. The rest is PR BS.
Sony went for HD-DVD only to undermine BluRay and the PS3. They even tried in their PR BS document to claim that HD-DVD had "more storage capacity". Talk about lying straight in your face when the facts is known.
BluRay won, the BluRay movie titles started to outsell the HD-DVD titles - as was expected. The installed bas...
