Until 300kps+ download becomes a broadband standard, gamers will ALWAYS have to contend with that.
You've got millions of people out there, who only have BASIC broadband, like 150k DSL. On the download side, they're just barely strong enough to qualify for LIVE. I've played with people whose ping was well over 800ms, which is basically a full second ; that's waaaay too long for packet delivery, for online gaming.

...EVERY game they make sucks on LIVE...PERIOD. That's what happens when the developers keep control over their own online networking, rather than let MS handle it. EA was too greedy to let that happen, and gamers suffer because of it.
They do this more than any publisher there is. They'll crank out GR and SC sequels like clockwork, and let everything else fall behind.
...with PREY taking nearly 10 years, and Duke Nukem Forever...well, FOREVER (likely never), 3D Realms IS NOT a company you can count on to deliver a game within a reasonable timeframe.

No, I have ZERO interest in those games, and I bought a PoS2 at launch. That's right, I stood in line for 14 f***ing hours for that overblown, overhyped turd, and never got my money's worth out of it. I hate the MGS, FF,and DMC franchises. If it weren't for ICO and Red Faction, I would have dumped my PoS2 at the nearest pawn shop after the first few months.

...it HAS to be wireless, since the PS3 doesn't give you an option for wired controllers. The tilt function would have to be there as well, for it to be licensed as an official PS3 replacement accessory.
...but it WAS a PS2 exclusive. It was a follow-up to the PC title, Drakan: Order of the Flame, and both were made by Surreal Software. Sadly, that was the end of the franchise, so I suppose Lair will have to fill the void. I rented a game called Drakengard for PS2, but it sucked big time...nothing like Drakan:TAG . When I got my XBOX, I rented Panzer Dragoon: Orta, but was equally disappointed.

Is why I'm interested in this game. My wife and I loved that game, because it was the only game that allowed you to have a dragon as a sidekick, to aerial battles, and explore huge maps. In a year or so, I'll pick up a PS3 and this game.

And no...I'm not interested in FFXII, DMC4, MGS4, Motorstorm, or R:FOM....in the least.
Considering the weak launch lineup, there's not much reason to buy a PS3 at launch to "play PS3"....ESPECIALLY when you could sell it, make a paycheck's worth of profit, and still afford to buy one later when there are more games.
It won't be available there for another 5-7 months anyway. If I were a European, I'd be PISSED to see an ad for something that I knew wouldn't even be available for so long.
