You don't know that for sure. Until today, the same was being said for R:FOM ; the games will have to SHIP at 1080p, not be shown at 1080p WHILE IN DEVELOPMENT.

1.) I'm not paying $250 for an iPod, when my $40 1gb Sansi works just fine...and it's not designed to be DISPOSABLE.
You can get rechargeable C and D cells as well, but I'm talking about portable MagLights, for emergencies, or that my wife can throw in her purse.
My point is, rechargeable is FAR more practical, for MOST people. People who are buying high $ gadgets, with non-replaceable batteries, likely will often not even realize that's the case, until it dies. Not to me...

As far as we know, the 360 IS MORE POWERFUL than the PS3. Of course after launch, when we've all seen the games, the hardware, and tech-nerds have dissected the PS3, we'll know more. But, until then, and/or until Sony even releases final specs for the PS3 (still hiding final info on cell and RSX), we simply won't know.
In reality, they are pretty much equal...tradeoffs on strengths/weaknesses.

Sony is the one who was touting 1080p, like it was THE ONLY way to play next-gen games, and would ONLY be possible on the PS3. They were even using RFOM as their "poster child", for both media storage (ZOMG...IT'S 22GB+...DVD SUXORS!!!!), AND 1080p. Regardless of what Insomniac said, it was Sony who made it a bigger issue. You can bet your ass MS will take advantage of this....ESPECIALLY since they beat Sony to market with the first 1080p game in SC:DA.
