Taylor B very nicely stated.
It's sad that PS3 fanboys have to try to put twist on stories to drum up support for the system.
Can we all just play games and get along??
The blame isn’t in the developers or that the game is a port. The problem is with the hardware in the form of memory available. There is just more total memory available in the Xbox 360 to perform when man objects have to be rendered to the screen. Let’s not forget the Oblivion Horse Armor problem… http://www.joystiq.com/2007...
Notice the official statement in the update...
Comparing Sigma and Madden is ridiculous because Madden has more things on a given screen to render. You have 11 players on a screen from each team also added in there AI, Second you have the players in the stands all the signs and all the guys to render on the sidelines. Sigma if anything like the Ninja Gaden from the Xbox will have at most 10 enemies on screen at a given time. So they would have to deal with less overall they had to render. It makes a whole lot of since that the PS3 has pro...
1. The Price Will Drop
There is no denying that the price for the PS3 will eventually drop but even if a price drops there are other factors to consider. Nintendo has shown us with the Wii that the main stream market price that people are willing to pay comes in at around 250 dollars. This is a price that most medium to casual gamers find an acceptable price that they can spend on a gaming system. Second we know that the current price of the Xbox 360 while a bit more favorable to the ...
KingME, has it totally right. Cell was a joint venture Sony and IBM. But over all the things that they are talking about really has nothing to do with the PS3. The PS3 has a Cell chip but that’s about as far as it goes, and the architecture of all the hardware together plays a big role in a systems capabilities. You can throw a Ferrari engine in a school bus but it doesn’t mean it’s going to be cable of what a Ferrari can do. Not to mention they are more than likely using more than one CELL p...
Sony is going to have to just move consoles. Publishers know that only a percentage of console owners will buy any one give game, the larger the user base the larger the potential profits. It also doesn’t help that development cost this time around have sky rocketed.
The only way Sony is going to turn this around is to move consoles by exciting gamers and lowering the price. The BLU-RAY war is about won, so Sony can get off that kick and start focusing on what really matters games. The...
I would like to play something like this. However i'm going to have to wait for the PS3 to drop in price.
Bottom-line I can't wait!!!
Techcellownu, I don’t feel I have been ripped off in the purchase of my Xbox360. I have had mine since April of last year, and it seems to be working just fine for me. I have over 20 games most of which I’ve played on XBL and had a good time. Of all the people that I actually know who own an Xbox360 (around 13 people) only 2 have broken down. Those people called up Microsoft and quickly got a replacement with no hassle and they are off and playing again. It does suck that the Xbox360’s are fa...
I could be wrong but I thought they were talking about http://www.consumerreports.... but who knows.
I don’t know if I would go as far as to say Sony will win this war, because the Xbox360 is having problems with the hardware. While I agree this is completely horrendous that the system is failing, as long as Microsoft finds a long term solution to the problem and gives a great customer services experience to users currently having the problem,(by hassle free fixing the console and in a timely manner) this will be looked at as a stumble. There is no doubt this could slow sales for the Xbox360...
Sounds like they are just laying the ground work and don't want fans to be disappointed when it happens. I mean why else would they have to make the statement that "As of now we have no change in plans. However, just because it is designed for the PS3 does not mean that it is absolutely unusable in any way whatsoever on another platform." I will say they are toying with the idea and it hinge on how well the game sales when it’s released on the PS3. For those that keep saying forget...
This should not have even made it because it's a misinterpretation of a graph. Farther more people use some common sense the Xbox 360 has been selling more per month than the PS3 so the sales cannot be the same. http://www.vgchartz.com/hwc...
Yes DVD-9 is obsolete. The problem is that HD-DVD and BLU-RAY while being superior to DVD-9 aren’t that great of a leap forward, and there are technologies available now that surpass the disks space HD-DVD and BLU-RAY. Examples: Holographic Versatile Disc which can hold up to 3.9 terabytes. Bug protein DVD’s which can store 50 terabytes of information. As you can see BLU-RAY and HD-DVD cannot come close to this. These technologies will be available in the near year which makes HD-DVD and BLU...
Ok first of this News article had nothing to do with the PS3, but somehow you had to try to pump up the PS3 and put down the Xbox360 with fabrications or you’re clearly very uneducated. So let me put the fact straight on this whole thing.
The PS3’s gigabit network card: This is a pure gimmick from Sony just to make there system look superior. Reason being is Broadband does not support anything close to 1000 mega bits transfer per second. In cases where you’re really lucky you ...
Cool and worth the watch.
I don’t believe Microsoft will get rid of the core anytime soon. The reason why Sony got rid of their core was that it was more expensive to produce, and they didn’t sale well. Farther more Sony wasn’t going to put out a core system until they seen Microsoft had done this, and thought it could help them compete but that plan back fired quickly. On the other hand Microsoft’s core is actually cheaper to produce and it can be upgraded.
Both me and my roommate have our 360's plugged into a surge protector and not problem.
