COD4 is not a Halo killer because it's multi-platform. So if you read in the context they are talking about (Sony having an exclusive shooter that kills Microsoft Halo.)

It's the smart thing to do. It's not to get hyped but to keep you interested closer to when the game comes out. One of the problems Sony has been having is that they have been getting people hyped about titles that aren't coming out for years. Sorry but after waiting and waiting and no game people loose hype and just get ticked.

This is really cool, however I think the meaning is a bit misunderstood. What this means more than anything is that KZ2 programmers optimized there code well in addition with the PS3 being a powerful machine, so more than likely no frame dips. One could only guess they would add trophies to many of these games. Would say this should have been done a lot earlier.
BLU Ray has shown that game need more space. However I don't see the next generation 360 using BLU-RAY, i'm guessing they will go with a next generation media disc format that are much larger than what BLU RAY offers.
I will say almost all of the 360 JRPG gamers realized it was going to come on a multi disc... and we don't care. After all they been coming on multi disc since last generation and we have had Lost Odessy and Blue Dragon come out on several disc... More than 4. Not a big deal since the disc are switched as the story advances.
Now to the PS3 gamer this may come as a shock or looked down on but it doesn't mater to us 360 gamers.
At first when I heard MS announce the exclusive content for GTA IV I was hyped. I saw the videos and was hyped. DD is already taking over. Ask how many people have netflix or blockbuster and how many have watched a DD movie. Then ask how many have watched DD shows from ABC, NBC and all the major networks that do it now. Then ask how many have paid for DD movies from xbl. Also go to some of these peer to peer sharing sites you will see people downloading boot leg copies of movies, its been going on since early 1999. They even have sites up on the web were you can see what's in the movies now.

I will have to say they did very little as to tell what was so exciting about the game to the casual gamer. Not to say the commercials didn’t do well in selling this game to the right audience. In the past Sony has been really good at advertising games, so no clue what went wrong here.

I like the 360 control for FPS. PS3 has the better control for pretty much everything else.
I have one problem with the story and that's the percentages; ok 9% doesn't look so well when written but its and improvement which is always welcome. This is one thing that turns me off about some people. I have never heard Obama come out and say anything negative on video games. Hilary on the other hand yea... One thing I did hear him say was its up to parents to do what's right for kids not government. Government should only provide tools to help parents if needed, such ratings so parents can make the choice on there own.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Sony is the best company in business, because there are something it does really well and other not so well in contrast to other business. This however is one of there strengths this generation allowing more of the homebrew, or small guys to get in on game development. I hope they keep setting the bar high like this.

I really think as always they aren't factoring everything into the equation. 1st a lot of games have been coming out on the 360 from other publishers when UBI Soft and EA have released and gamers have to choose which they can get now and which will have to wait. On the PS3 there wasn't so many competing titles when EA and UBI Soft released. If you check back when 360 had really EA and UBI Soft releasing good tiles the sales were about what were seeing from the PS3.

I'm with you totally on that. While I don't want to take away from the PS3 this really isn't a title worth bragging about. But if it floats someones boat, good for them.
Japan is normally on the bleeding edge of technology, but this says very little for the rest of the world. Remember when Beta died in the US and we went with VHS and Beta still had some hold over Europe but died slowly in the end. Hardly anything to brag about.

I don't see it happening and here is why.
Remember the reason why we have different genres of games, because different genres appeal to different people. So as hard as it is far many fanboys to swallow not every PS3 owner will buy KZ2. Leading to the fact it will not sell 8 million consoles on release to help Sony catch up.
