I'm sorry to inform you that this really wasn't that big of a surprise. Everyone has been expecting Sony to release a new PSP, many thought they would beat Nintendo to the punch; but it was more evident they would when the DSi came out.

Microsoft will not put BLURAY in there next console. BLU RAY will be dead before long because, it just doesn’t have the capacity. 50GB to 500GB with 200GB only being able to be reached in labs… We need optical disc that support at a minimum 1TB and even that might be a bit low. Remember Sony pushed the BLURAY format because they wanted the royalties for being the last optical movie format. @Immortal Kaim not sure how it will benifit medical or the military... With things like Electronic medical record systems and other health care databases, current BLU RAY doesn't even come close to being able to support the needs of medical. Military has simular issues. Just think we are all using computers with TB of disc space 200mb isn't backup up too much.

I was listening to NPR yestereday and Sony made the news because they will be posting a loss for this year. It said they were close down plants and so on. My thought is I don't know if they can afford to take any losses from the game department. So if they drop price it couldn't go lower that would they are breaking even with for production of the PS3.

Last generation with the PS2 I had to send back 4 of them, all the same issue DVD drive went out and failed to read games. I knew several people who had the same issue. Many 360 owners do not care about having multiple disc, especially on linear type games. People who have a problem with multiple disc or not getting your voice over in the original language buy PS3 Case close. The silly thing about this is I don't remember previous versions having the option. In all honesty this is the type of news that should be filtered and not approved. I'm really unsure why PS3 fanboys can't enjoy the fact the game is coming out.
Would just be nice to see them actual release a new game this GEN and i'm not talking an HD upgrade.
PS3 owners aren't missing anything. Personally think the GTA IV has taken a step backward, while the graphics and a few features added were cool the fun factor was just not there. Lost & Damned while the story was cool just something about it lost me in the fun factor and I haven't finished the game.
As i've said many times Sony or Microsoft would have been better off to buy Saints Row 2. I've beat the game and still pick it up and have fun.
Fanboy article for Half-Life. He had some good point here and there but I didn't agree with everything he said. Half-Life wasn't the best FPS ever, the free mod made by some people in there free time Counter Strike was so much better and so many people played it.

I don't believe making this an exclusive to any system is a smart move. The reason is that the Ghostbuster base, is several years old. I'm 28yrs old and I was a kid when the last GB was made and barely remember it. You also have to remember its a movie based game, while they are getting better its almost for sure going to hurt sells with the bad rep they already have.
I don’t mind paying a hefty price for a laptop if it can do all the things I need it to do. Apple just doesn’t fit the bill. While you can get some cool software here and there stock on MAC OS and it looks pretty, there is a lot of software it doesn’t support (Games). When you find a MAC that can support all my devices and all my games with the power of my DELL XPS then maybe I’ll consider them.
I agree reason I was going to purchase the PS3 was FFXIII. It being 4th on 360 list of most wanted, is still not bad. Looks like good sales numbers for Square Enix.
