The really sad thing for the Gears franchise is not that Uncharted does better story, well-developed characters, superior graphics and an online experience largely free of glitches and host advantage. The real killer is that even the basic cover-based gameplay, the only thing Gears even attempts to do, is better on uncharted: faster, more mobile and better implemented cover-and-shoot mechanics coupled with more diverse game-play with puzzles and stealth seamlessly integrated
This is a game I want to buy to buy just to show off to non-gamers, to show them what they are missing out. "Do you know what you just saw is not a real life video, I was actually playing that with my controller?"
Just wait till you play Uncharted 1/2. I feel for those who have not experienced the awesomeness of this series.
I gave him bubbles just so that all of us can have a laugh. Maybe if these guys spent as much time holding MS to task rather than try to badmouth PS3 exclusives, MS would not get away with a sub-standard defective console and crappy exclusives like ODST or Forza
What I am looking forward to is a website rating the 360 and PS3 versions separately, and scoring the 360 version lower for being graphically inferior. After all they did the same to the PS3 version of bayonetta.

A 5 hour single-player campaign? Sure you can do a lot in Halo 3, unless you want a meaningful single-player campaign and are happy with a generic multiplayer that at least 5-6 other games do better.
The strange thing is, till 2007 xbox gamers were hating on PS3 because the graphics were inferior, and you had masses of articles on multiplat graphic comparisons, hating on the PS3.
Now, when its increasingly apparent that even a flagship title like Halo cant match a 2-year old PS3 game, its all about gameplay.
Incidentally, KZ2 is not just about graphics. Among other things, it has the best AI ever

But dont worry, Splinter Cell and Alan Wake will rock, and you should be able to experience the kind of quality that comes when developers are determined to make a great game and not just churn out the same rubbish every 2 years. Just a pity that whats taken for granted for all PS3 exclus...
"definitive" and "badass" - favourite terms for 360 games
I guess if you have enough money, there are enough fabulous exclusives on either console to justify buting BOTH a 360 and a PS3. I would still maintain that if you need to buy one console, though, the PS3 is better value - though it also boils down to what your friends have. One reason why 360 has such strong sales in the US is that there is such a large install base, so if 3 of your friends have a 360, you will go for one as well.

Believe it or not, the PSN interface is smoother and easier to navigate. One of the things the PSN does better despite not charging for it.
The mark of a great game, review-wise, is that the average score remains impressive and well above 90, even after the odd 8/10 score and, in case of PS3 exclusives, the 6/10 from Edge. I am pretty sure the reviews overall for GoW3 will reflect the quality of the game and it will end up on something like 92 or 93 on metacritic.
