I dont know, there is a store in London called Gamefocus that sells imported stuff. Or you can get some on ebay, but not the more obscure ones unfortunately. I agree with you, pity that one of the good things about the PS3 (region-free) is not being tapped
Just imagine, Sony closes down a similar shop and then gloats about it. Somehow Nintendo got away with a lot, including trundling out the same franchises over and over again. To think that the Gamecube was my fave console last generation,
Who cares? The 360 flagship RPG Lost Odyssey, the supposed FF-killer (before FF13 went mulitplat) sold less than 1m – this includes Japan. FF13 will sell 50 copies on the 360, all future SE titles will be PS3 exclusive, and nobody other than those 50 people will be bothered that 360 FF13 is inferior
"It's a good score from Edge"
ODST got 9
Intersting gameplay, as expected, and does seem like it has an interesting use of light as a weapon. Should be an excellent game, but graphics? About the same class as Batman Arkham i.e. good but nothing extraordinary, though definitely looks better than ODST and L4D2, which is probably why 360 users getting floored, welcome to next gen folks this is what games look like here
So Heavy Rain is as good as Killzone 2 aaccording to Edge, too bad for them that they think ODST is a much better game than either title, speaks a lot about EDGE
They are throwing all their big exclusives (and paid off content such as Splinter cell or Alan Wake) into this year, and still they can barely match up to PS3’s list spearheaded by GoW3, Last Guardian, Heavy Rain, resistance 3 and GT5.
The real fun will start next year when the PS3 has a dozen blockbusters (KZ3, UC3, infamous 3, FF Versus 13, Rockstar game, insomniac game, Jaffe’s game, Motorstorm 3, WKC2, Valkyria 2) and all the 360 has is Gears 3. 2009 was nothing compared to 2011, th...
You know, one might think customers would be able to figure out that IF they needed multiplayer, wifi then the 360 would much more expensive. But I actually met a well-educated, highly paid professional who had bought a 360 and was stunned to hear from me that online is free on PS3. Unfortunately, having a deceptively attractive entry price and then nickel and diming on peripherals is a great strategy
Wel, GT5 does face some stiff competition from real life, but in the end GT5 comes out as the winner.
Another one. Mass Effect to follow soon.
Thats where Heavy Rain may prove better - from the demo and reviews, it seems the choices are much more subtle and nuanced
Just stop all the speculation, Mass Effect will remain exlcusive to 360 - just like Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden, Lost Planet and Dead Rising
They need an analog device to go with it or else this device will fail. Playing with 2 pointers or using the Dualshock 3 in one hand will not work.
Thx - thats helpful
Anyone knows whether these maps are for competitive mode only or whether these would also be playable under coop (gold rush/survival)?
Desperately want some new maps in coop. Though some of the people I play with in coop can make even the old maps interesting - running to opposite sides of the map in survival or ignoring the treasure completley in gold rush :)
Exactly, Uncharted was well into development BEFORE Gears was revealed.
And imagine what would happen if uncharted had not been created - 3rd person shooters would be identified with moronic rambo-like characters, incoherent shallow plots, glitchy mess of a multiplayer and imbalanced weapons, one-dimensional and clunky combat, shiny plasticky graphics.
Not only is Uncharted a more complete package, to add insult to injury its better even in the only thing gears does - the ...
If gears had not existed - then Uncharted (which was already well into development when Gears released) would have been the flag-bearer for 3rd person, and a better one: A great story, believable characters, glitch free multiplayer, better graphics (no shiny plastic textures), superb nuanced game-play with puzzles and stealth elements – and to add insult to injury, the 3rd person combat works better in Uncharted as well, no tank like controls and more of a tactical feel to it
Lord, so much hate from the 640p gamers. Dont worry, it seems like the Halo series might finally look almost half as good as Killzone 2 when Reach comes out, almost 2 years after KZ2 released
Almost one year now. All the hype about KZ2 graphics, but I was astounded to find that the multiplayer and the AI in single-player (best ever in gaming) totally beats the graphics and lighting. Amazing game. Need to try it the KZ2 multi again and give UC2 a break. Problem is, I am also busy ...
Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised by the scores in general - I half-expected a low 70s kind of average (would still have bought it myself though)
A big part of the Lair debacle was that reviewers were just not ready to give the controls a chance and that was a big risk here as well. But Quantic have pulled off the game they envisioned, so great work by them
hALO 3, Mario kart and wii sports are in the same class - both in terms of sales and the quality of the game
