Did anyone here actually play as a female, then tell us how it was. maybe I can try it out for my second playthrough.
They sure had the best lineup of launch and first-party games, that was an amazing burst of creativity from Sega. Too bad the console went under as Sega as a developer has gone downhill since.
More importantly, my troll is supported by numbers and facts.
xbox owners feel very proud of the fact that Halo sells 10 million on their console, and look down upon what they call "interactive movies", i.e., anything that has something like a story. Its the other way round for the PS3 - Halo would struggle to sell 3 million on the PS3.
Fun facts
3 out of the 5 games are PS3 exclusives, the 4th a part exclusive.
These four have sold 4 million on average - compared to just 2 million sales for the sole XBOX entry, Mass Effect - even though the 360 has a higher install base.
All combined, story-driven or family games (such as LBP) have sold maybe 5-10 times as many copies on the PS3 as on the XBOX.

I am just relieved that HL3 and Portal 2 will be on PS3 – just one year back I was pretty sure they were going to make it XBOX-exclusive and I wouldn’t be able to play it, as my 360 will be sold off as soon as I am done with Mass Effect 2 (I know it’s coming to PS3, but couldn’t wait till 2011 to play this beauty)

Mass effect wont sell better on PS3, probably much less, because its an old game and people like me have already bought the game (on XBOX or PC). Thats not the point - Mass Effect is the greatest game on the XBOX, and sold far less than the awful Halo ODST. MGS4, uncharted 2 and LBP are all well above or closing in on 4 million, and none had the grand scale of Mass Effect.

The reason is that the Forza/xbox camp want an excuse to pull down this game, sales, graphics and content-wise GT5 destroys Forza so they are using damage as a way to target GT5 even though its a simulator, not Burnout.
You saw the same thing with Killzone 2: it wont look as good as the trailer, the AI is poor, its generic, the controls are slow, it didn’t sell 10 million....
We are not talking about the number of defective xbox consoles here
I think a Quantic game wil sell less than 10,000 on the Halo console, so no point developing for it
They should offer both options.
If you want one hard crash should be enough to smash up your car, do you think the average player can go through a race without a single crash? We would all be reduced to driving at 30mph. The whole idea of a racing game is that at least some of the players manage to complete the game while driving fast. Of course, there should be a penalty for repeated crashing and scraping against walls, which appears to be incorporated.
And if you are really keen on seeing extreme crash ph...

They released both PDZ and kameo close to launch. Doesnt that mean they have a pretty big team (didnt hear of any latoffs) - maybe they are working on some other game as well, prob PDZ2

One of the most ambitious games in history, sold just one million, and one of the greatest consoles with the most impressive launch line-up of games disappeared in 2 years. Not because of the PS2 but because consoles are sold at a loss and manufacturers rely on game sales to make money, and piracy destroys their revenue model. Because of piracy on the Dreamcast we will never play Shenmue 3.
The worst fanboys have to be ones that started it. That would be the xbox camp, the first 2 years of the PS3 were awful, every article about the PS3 was filled with outright lies and slander - the PS3 has no games, the PS3 is much weaker than the 360, the PS3 cell processor is not suited for gaming, Blu-ray is not needed, etc. The Xbox crowd is quiet these days simply because the PS3 is so dominant - far more exclusives, PS3 exclusives look so much better, gaining on the 360 with each passing...
