I just received my copy from Amazon a few seconds ago and it does indeed say 16MBs on the back of the box, either it is a typo and 16GBs is needed… Or the game doesn't have to install and 16MBs, minimum, is needed for just save files.
Also, From the back of the box:
Madden is 1080p, supports 2-6 Networked players, supports remote play and 2-4 local players.
I originally thought the delay was a money move to set the game in a spot with less competition. Then, I watched the video at the bottom of the page and realized that it isn't the same video we watched just a short while back, it was an updated video with new, higher resolution textures and new effects in place. It looks phenomenal! I suggest everybody take a look at it and make sure Im not imagining things. But everything looks sharper, cleaner and the effects are jaw dropping!

I hope so, I have a 100 Mb connection and would love to be able to use every bit of download speed. Xbox live had the same issues last generation. I was never able to download over 1 MB a second on my connection. At least allow for 5 MB per second. Thats bytes, not bits.
One of the classiest men in the business. People should be very happy that he works for Sony. He is always so composed and relaxed... like valium for the soul.
I agree. I'm sure during development of the system hardware they threw it around, but thought to themselves just how many people actually use the feature. Is it a priority? Obviously, they found out postmortem that it was. Nothing that can't be fixed very easily with a system update. I don't know why people get so upset about something so simple. With six lines of code, the system will be able to play MP3s.
Im guessing nobody watched the video, and read they complete article, where they said that every enemy you kill or not matters. If they somehow survive, they go on in the world and grow and you could possibly even meet them down the line, even better equiped and pissed off from the first battle they lost. A Middle Earth game where your choices matter and change the world around you for the better or worse.
Sounds great to me. Im surprised at how quickly everyone writes off a ...
Amazing videos. I love the hardware disassembly. Shows how simple, yet elegant and functional the design is. It just amazes me how everything fits together and the lack of connecting wires. One of the best designs Ive ever seen and I could listen to Mark Cerny talk about anything and sit staring in total amazement. The man has so much passion on both the hardware and software side.
Sony has seemingly done everything right for this next generation. Now, its up to us to reward ...
This feature is going to get unlimited hours of use from me. Which is why I'm going mostly digital this generation with my PlayStation 4 games. That way I have access to my entire collection when I'm on the road. Of course it will be limited by how fast Internet speed is wherever I am, but I have 4G and most places I go have fairly fast Internet. So I should be able to stream games fairly decently. I will let everyone know how decently come the end of this month, when my wife and I go...
Yeah, that's what I use now. I don't even know how you can go back. I've been using a projector since 1998 with 120" screen. The projector is an Optoma HD25-LV and it looks amazing. I also have an Optoma HD33 that is almost new, if you are interested in buying it. It still has the plastic on it. Both are 1080p 3D projectors, the HD25-LV being the newest version and the brightest of affordable home theater projectors on the market. The HD33 is still rated highly amongst home t...
I agree, split single and multiplayer into $30 chunks. Let the gamer decide which, if not both, he or she wants to purchase. Its fair and it lets single player only gamers, like myself, buy just what they want... Without paying for a portion of the game they will never touch. I guarantee, that at $30, more gamers than not will make unlimited impulse purchases, whether they play single or multi... Or both.
If this is true, it would be one of the biggest and most public cases of bait and switch ever perpetrated. Promising a feature wouldn't be present, only to make it a feature that could be enabled on a software level. Very sneaky and underhanded. God help Microsoft if this is true. Guaranteed, a ton of people are going to cancel preorders and become Playstation fans. Though, I thought Activision also said that they thought used games were good for the industry and that limiting the way peo...
I dont want to believe tis is true. If it is, how irresponsible of Microsoft. They, of all people, know just how many things can go wrong during firmware and software installation. All it takes is a power outage or power surge during installation and you have a bricked unit. Someone could bump the plug out by accident or be playing with the unit itself and hit the power button. Any one of a million things could happen that could interrupt installation and leave day 1 adopters without a shiny ...
I've experienced every console launch since the Atari 2600. The PS4 launch ranks up there with some of the best. I don't know why, but it has given me that kid at Christmas feeling again. Something I have experienced in many years. Only a week away.
I had this happen to my Xbox 360 controller, though it took about 6 months of heavy play. If this is the case, Sony will fix it and it will be a nonissue. If you are going to use your sticks heavily, quite a few companies make stick condoms that protect them. They are only a couple dollars and work well.
This looks incredible. Only 1 week to go until the next generation is here. I cant wait!
No problem. You guys definitely earned yourself a new site fan. Definitely comng your way if Im not sure about a game and need an honest review. Thanks again.
One of the better reviews I've seen that was very honest about the single player and didn't over embellish on the multi. Pointing out the flaws in a gracious way, while also telling the gamers that the game is okay, it just needs some patches in order to be everything it can be. At least in the multiplayer. Single player is basically what everybody said it was, short and without a meaningful story, which wraps up too early and doesn't offer any closure to what little bit there is....
Should we be concerned that it was possibly the Xbox version of the game that delayed its release for all systems? This deceit makes me think that they couldn't get the Xbox version running right so they decided to take more time in order to do so, instead of releasing a game for other systems first and having it come out afterwards for the Xbox One, making it look weaker, they just delayed the release for all systems to save face for Microsoft.
I'm actually starting ...
I wish this cover flow UI was on home units. Since i only use my console to play games, it would be nice to be able to scroll through them so easily. Im going all digital this gen, so quicker UI is a must.
I just received my copy a few seconds ago from Amazon and for some odd reason remote play is missing from the back of the box. I'm guessing it's just a typo, as they've used this game from day one to show off remote play, but I find it rather peculiar.
Otherwise, from the back of the box:
1-2 local players, 37GB minimum, and 1080p
