I agree with you guys above. Native is always going to be better than upscaled. When games are upscaled, you get that blurring effect due to the extension of pixels. Each pixel is stretched, to achieve the upscale... Which not only blurs the image, but softens the overall sharpness. The image never looks 1080p, it ends up looking like a stretched 480p, by the time the upscale is done.

I could care less how the game changed. With the single player only four hours long, I'm renting it. Speaking of which, my copy from gamefly just shipped out today(PS4) and will be here either tomorrow or the next day. Another perk of having gamefly, if I wanted to buy this game new… It is only $45. For those of us who game using projectors on a 120" screen or TVs above 60"... resolution matters greatly. A game running at 720p looks blurry and washed out. So 1080p matters, especially since gamers can get 70" TVs for less than $1500.

Every time this guy speaks, the world loses 10 IQ points. He is the most overrated, underqualified analyst in the world. Console launches generally always happen together, at high prices. This one is no different from any other. Last generation was a fluke, when the PS3 launched a year after the Xbox 360. But for most generations before that, Consoles launched around the same time. And given inflation, the prices aren't really different from what they were back in the 80s.
As someone else above said, don't mistake confidence for arrogance. Sony has heard from consumers, and it's consumers that let them know that they are doing the right thing and what they are offering for the next generation. They aren't resting on internal speculations and forecasts. They are giving the consumer what they want, and how they want it. Devs not seeing a cent from me, ill be doing the Gamefly thing for both this and Battlefield. I play single player only and am not paying $15/ hour for what will probably turn out to be a lackluster campaign. 4 hours is ridiculous, 6 is OK... 10(like Killzone) should be the norm. Anything 4 or less and you know the developer focused purely on Multiplayer and tacked on the campaign.

Texturing and lighting seem to be the biggest upgrades. And obviously resolution. Basically if you don't have the current GEN version the next GEN version is an option, but if you do have a current gen version, I can't really see why you would upgrade unless you wanted to see the difference in visuals.
