This review was so bare-bones I wonder if the reviewer actually played the game for more than 10 minutes. He failed to mention how the player AI can recognize obstacles and figure out a way to get around them if the player doesn't interact with the right stick(the hitstick). How the offensive line will create a pocket for the quarterback to function in and how the crowd interacts with each and every play. They are just a few of the changes in the PS4 version, which has many.
I agree, it seems a lot of TES fans are up in arms about this. I think if they would've made it look more Nextgen, people might be better off accepting it. But as it is, they said that the visuals will be under what they did with Skyrim. I think, also, had they made a single player story to go along with the MMO, I wouldn't be as torn.
I'm not big into MMOs, I'm not big into multiplayer. I just want to get lost in another elder scrolls world. That world, which...
In the eternal words of the poet Daniel Bryan.... Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!
This game is tops on my most wanted list of 2014. It amazes me that this is an open world game and so gorgeous to look at. When this game releases, next gen has truly arrived.
To me it sounds as if, like The Division, there are places you can go and those you cannot... But I dont think the end game is going to be protected by forced co-op. that wouldn't make sense to allow gamers to play the entire game via single player and then force co-op in the final moments.
Though, I don't think it would be hard for anybody to find a few people to play through the final moments of the game with, I still don't think it should be forced on people.
I never put a name to it, but this is exactly what I had about three or four years into the generation. I was ready for a Nextgen machine three years ago, when I took my first break from gaming after 30 years . Playing games became more of a chore after I'd already beaten 130 of them and felt like every game that was releasing was just an extension of the last, with different visuals.
The new machine, the PS4, has gone a long way in getting me back into playing and enjoyi...
Going to be absolutely off the wall. This will be the definitive version of this game. I have quite a few people on my friends list who play this on the Vita adamantly, and I look forward to competing against them for highest scores, via the PS4.
While I generally only choose one console, a generation(this, a PS4), I find this article completely disgusting. It is so riddled with fanboy banter that almost makes me sick to be a gamer. I love that Nintendo is still around. I love that Nintendo still makes more family-oriented games than anything else. Their games are still fun and entertaining for kids of all ages. I, as well as many gamers, would love to have a Wii U under my tree. Nintendo systems and games always take me back in time,...
This video does actually show the reason why Gran Turismo will look so good on next gen systems. You can tell where the development team made choices to get this game to run as it does on the PS3. The background buildings and landscape are low resolution, sometimes 2D. But, even so, the game looks phenomenal and really pushes the PS3 to its limits. Its amazing how good it looks and promises how incredible the future of the brand will be on the more powerful hardware.

I wholeheartedly disagree with your assumption that the CPU and GPU tech isnt very advanced on the PS4, at least. For the first time in the history of CPUs, even on PCs, both the GPU and CPU can access the memory at the same time. 64 command cues for them to share for upcoming tasks. Not to mention it's all pulling from the same shared 8 GB of DDR5 RAM. Don't forget about the GPU also being able to use compute to take on CPU tasks such as physics, AI, world simulation, etc.…

This is one of my most anticipated games of 2014. What I'm wondering though, is the developer going to add new cities in via DLC post launch? I would love to see towns like Orlando, San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, Ocean City, MD and a bunch of states and towns that have a different feel to them. With winding roads through forests, beaches, lakes, etc...
I'm just wondering how well the streaming engine works, to accommodate DLC and the doubling of the amount of cities...
Its a shame that more reviewers arent giving this game a chance. It is the different that platformers need to continue surviving, in this FPS world. I wish that Compulsion would patch the issues, so that people could see it for what it is and not the tiny technical glitches that keep it from perfection.
And the icing on the cake... Its free! At least for a little while longer.
Nice try.
"The Definitive Edition of “Tomb Raider” was official announced during the VGX awards show event. The PS4 and Xbox One versions feature improved graphics with the resolution being increased to natively support 1080p. The character model for Lara Croft has also been enhanced due to the added graphical prowess of the next-generation systems. All of the post-launch DLC expansions are also included."
Guess there is a reason why you have only ...
The more games, the merrier. Though, I'm not exactly sure what the power of next gen systems can actually do for this game because it already looks and plays so well on current gen systems. I'm hoping that this releases at $40 or less, and it will sell really well if it releases for $30 or less. If it releases at full retail price, $60, then it's going to sit on the shelf until the price comes down or it becomes free via PS plus.
It's a great platformer, They ...
Unfortunately, that's not where it ends for PCs. Then you have to upgrade your memory and your motherboard and CPU, etc. etc. etc. Your $350 soon turns into six or $700 and you're left with a machine that is just a little bit more powerful than the PS4 for double the cost.
That is the beauty of choosing console gaming over PC. You have one common denominator for developers to make the most of and exploit over the coming years and you don't have to jump through hoo...
Wow. This is Elite 1000. This takes everything that Elite accomplished back in the day and turns the volume up to 11. This is the most technologically advanced game announced so far. God bless procedural generation.
The first thing I thought of when I watched this was, I wish Tom was around to see this and how realized a game world could be. How technology was able to bring his creations to life, like never before.
"Cut through buildings or climb on top of them to catch your enemies"
I was hoping they would add a touch of Crackdown to this game. Now, Im wondering if the AI is smart enough to do the same?
I agree. I found the sound quality exceptional. I was actually quite amazed at the clarity and amount of bass tone the mic picked up in my voice. It does just fine.
I think what a lot of people are experiencing is what I like to call 70s envy. Thinking bigger is better, which means marketing has done its job in selling the big, bulky headsets. Advertising bigger and better 80 and 90mm drivers. I understand them if you are in a situation whete volume is an issue or you dont ow...
I would've really liked one of those blankets. Anybody who got one of them, if you want to sell it to me, let me know. Very awesome of Sony to do.
Very cool. A nice little Christmas gift from Sony. I planned on buying a game, this just sweetens the deal.
