That's kind of been my exact feeling the entire time I've seen Knack. It really doesn't have that Nextgen feeling to it. The gameplay seems pretty antiquated and rather PlayStation 2-ish. The visuals are very simplistic and there isn't much Nextgen about them. Generally launch games for any brand-new system coming out, especially first party, show off why you are buying a Nextgen system. This game does just the opposite. Kind of makes you wonder why you did? Especially since i...
This is another one of my most wanted games for the next generation. Looks like it's going to be a blast, very scary at night. I just hope there's enough variety in gameplay and the locale doesn't get too stale. So far what we Have seen, is a poor looking town that didn't have too much variety to it. I'm wondering if there are richer sections, shopping malls, etc... Something to make the map feel more real and bring it to life. It would also be cool if some animals were af...
I am so back-and-forth on whether or not I want to buy this game. For every positive feature I see in it, I find something negative that nullifies it. It looks gorgeous. Even though the next GEN upgrade is purely facial, it still adds a lot to the overall ambience of the game.
So, I'm interested as to why other people are buying this game to see if this sways my decision one way or the other. I wasn't a big fan of the assassins creed franchise before this, I'm not...
Looking incredible. One of my most anticipated games of the next generation.
No. There is no mandatory install. It was described perfectly above you. Though, I dont think there is a 50 Gb cap. The game you are playing at the time will section off a part of the harddrive and use it to stream upcoming info to it, before its needed. The game then loads from the harddrive instead of the Bluray. Making access to the information much faster... Hence no loading screens.
My guess is, the OS partitions off 50-100Gb when you put the disc in, caches the disc as ...
Agreed. I am going mostly digital this gen, so that I can stream everything to my Vita without having to have the disc inserted. Basically having my entire PS4 game selection with me, wherever I go.
Game installs arent mandatory on the PS4. If you choose not to install, the game will just cache commonly used assets to the hard drive.
The only reason Sony did this, was because they have a system wide firmware update that improves performance, that isnt ready yet and wont be until close to launch. They just want to make sure all of their ducks are in a row, so as not to cause unnecessary widespread panic on the consumer side due to overzealous reporters looking for any reason to knock Sonys momentum down a notch or two.
Sessler is just butthurt, because they arent making him a priority to spoon feed informa...
Agreed. That fog in the background, assuming you drive up to and through it, is an effect I don't remember ever seeing before. Id love to see that in more games, especially something like Elder Scrolls.
Everyone does realize that this is just a controversy ploy to get hits on this website, right? He is talking about single player looking better than multiplayer... Not Xbox One over PS4 or vice versa...
The controversy is just going to get more people to the site.
Holy God, does this game look incredible. Im thinking it is the reason why Driveclub was delayed. I think, visually, it just couldn't compare and the developer felt embarrassed that an open world game looked so much better than their closed course, which should look exponentially better considering they are only rendering one road and not an entire county. From the videos we saw of Driveclub... The 3 courses they showed, looked bare and bland. With very little happening, visually, beside...
Over the past two days, this game has become my most anticipated. After watching the newest multiplayer demo, something I usually don't care about, it will not only bring me back to multiplayer after 10 years... but also mimic the gorgeous visuals from single player. I think, for the first time in console history, we arent going to see much of a difference graphically... Between single and multiplayer. At least, judging from the newest multiplayer video.
I cannot wait to ...
My thoughts on this game have been back-and-forth since we first heard about it. Sometimes I feel as if the gameplay is just too simplistic and other times I feel as if the game is the perfect game to start the next generation with. I always feel as if a console launch should be accompanied by a great platformer.
I'm just going to go ahead and add this to my download list on PSN. Well I believe it looks simplistic in design, I can't help but to want to play it as my f...
Yeah, I hope every game is like this. It's so ridiculous the screens we have to put up with. I can understand one screen for about 10 seconds that has everything on it, Dolby Digital, speed tree, and all of the other tools they use to develop their game with. But to have screen after screen after screen after screen for a minute or two is irritating.
Great job, Guerilla!
The multiplayer looks just as good as single player. Holy cow, the visuals are amazing. This may be the first multiplayer game I played in 10 years. Just looks so incredible. Can't wait.
When I read this, I rushed to my GameStop outside of Ocean City, Maryland… And to no avail. He said they are doing a prelaunch party the Sunday before launch day with accessories and games... But they probably won't be available until two weeks before the system launches.
So I'm not sure how Canada got their controllers early, but God bless them. Though it's kind of torture, sitting with the controller in their hands... not being able to do anything but play with ...
The exact reason why I switched from the Xbox 360 to the PlayStation brand. Microsoft, I feel, cares more about competing with Apple than they do about gaming and gamers. More about controlling people's homes, thank controlling the next big blockbuster game.
They made it very clear in their unveil. Which is the exact moment that I switched brands.
My wife and I were married in Disney. We go down every year to celebrate our anniversary. I would love for them to go from ride to ride in each park and create a story around it. Rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain. Being able to explore the parks and ride the rides, as photorealistic as they could get it. When my wife and I arent at Disney, we are thinking about it. It is so much fun down there, whether you are five or 80. There is something for everybody.

We will see whether or not this holds true by whether or not they gimp the PlayStation version so that it and the Xbox One version of any of their games, look exactly the same. That will be with, but not limited to, resolutions, texture quality and any other feature that the PlayStation will be known to be better at producing, visually.
I don't want to hear about parity across systems. If one system has more power, then that system should be able to display that power wit...
Preorder cancelled. Gamefly confirmed. I play single player only. Definitely not worth $60 @ 4 hours. 10, yes... Maybe even an awesome 8... but 4 is just lazy.
