I've been a single player gamer since the beginning, in the Atari 2600 days. I would like it if developers would split the single and multiplayer experiences and allow players to download one or the other, or both if they want. It would lower the cost of admission, allowing single player only gamers to buy the single player portion for $30. It would probably sell more copies, because players could play what they want at a discounted cost without paying for a section of the game they may n...
Ridge Racer, Colin McRae, Jak And Daxter, Crash, etc... Id take any or all of these, with a sprig of Wipeout 24 player online, with track editor.
XHeavYx, you and me both. Add me as a friend , I could handle chatting with a fellow 80s rocker..
Considering this game can be had for $2 on iOS, I don't understand why anybody would be paying $50 for it on a console. Especially since the controls would be much better, using a touchscreen device.
I guess there's at least 2000 people out there in the world willing to pay 25x the price. Maybe they don't own a phone or an iPad. God bless them.
I'm glad you posted this. I am glad to see somebody else who didn't really get into the past games, enjoying this one. It makes me feel much better about my purchase. I thank you again, and truly appreciate your response. It was just what I needed.
Tell me your favorite parts of the game and what you think of the visuals.
Wow, all the other reviews were bad to average, at best. It's interesting that this reviewer found the game excellent. He was very levelheaded through the experience, even through some of the games faults, he found beauty. I think if they would just patch this game and get it working right, it would be quite the hit. A kick back to yesteryear, with the visuals of now.
There was quite a difference between 720 and 1080 with Call Of Duty Ghosts. Most of the jaggies went away and the picture became clearer, brighter and more colorful. I imagine the same will be true with Assassins Creed.
Journalists that don't want you to believe that there's a difference, obviously have some sort of bias one way or the other. I'm not sure why it would matter so much to them, but obviously they have their reasons.

Agreed. Also I'd like to know more about that 2 Gb of memory for the secondary processor. I've seen some articles state that it was 2 GB another state it was 2 Gb. Regardless, it is very essential for the PS4 to have this as it offsets a lot of the OS functions to the secondary processor, which allows developers to use the full power of the Jaguar cores to their games advantage. Same thing goes for the memory, but to a lesser extent. I'm almost wondering why they didn't includ...
I have this game sitting here, I just haven't opened it yet. I'm interested to know what everybody elses thoughts on it are? What do you like? What do you not like? What makes it different from last gen? I'm interested to hear gamer's opinions as opposed to professional reviewers, as I wasn't a huge fan of the game last generation. Though this game looks like it would be fun. I like the history of the pirate culture.
Thank you in advance.
COD is what is wrong with corporations taking over the games industry. Making sequels as cheap as possible, as quickly as they can, to grab more money. There is no innovation, just renovation. Nothing in Ghosts could really be considered next gen. I am playing through it now, on the PS4, and I dont see much beyond the higher resolution textures, that couldnt be done on the Xbox 360 or PS3.
The gameplay is the same, no physics, no destruction... Just the same tired point and s...
This is where PC gamers are wrong. For some reason, they think that the PS4 is using off the shelf parts. When in reality, it is using highly customized hardware. There is not one pc that allows the CPU and GPU to access the same pool of memory at the same time. Not one PC using the GPU as a CPU offset, for calculations. Not one PC graphics card that has 8GBs of GDDR5 RAM. Specialty chips for audio, the OS and its own pool of 2GBs of DDR3 RAM... On the same board.
The list go...
The way that Cerny describes this game, is exactly the mindset reviewers should have gone in with. I only wish he would have said it before launch. A game that is an onramp to consoles for a casual user who may have only played Angry Birds. Of course, I think it wouldve helped if they wouldve either made this game a PSN title or a discounted retail in the $30 range. It wouldve eased the pain of purchasing such a simple title, for those who craved more out of a platformer. This as a pack in ti...
Yeah, I have to agree that resolution will matter sooner than later. The difference is, most people own TVs that are 50 inches or bigger now. Their true native resolution being 1080p, stretching 720p to 1080p blurs things a bit and accentuates aliasing issues. I played COD before the 1080p patch on the PS4. The issues I mentioned above were very prevalent and made the game look like a last gen game with slight upgrade. After the patch, the upgrades became clearer and the game looked much bett...
Yeah, I ordered from Amazon and both of my systems came without flaw, both encompassed in an overwhelming amount of bubble wrap. I think they may have had a few employees upset with the amount of work they had to do and did as little as possible, as fast as possible, in order to get it done. Unfortunately, I think that meant that some systems didn't get the treatment they needed to arrive safely and that is what we are seeing from the broken systems that have been mentioned.
No, I haven't seen it up yet.
So far, I downloaded:
Killzone
NFS Rivals
Contrast
Retribution
Retrogun
Warframe
I plan to download:
Knack, Madden and pretty much anything else I know I will like. I plan on using remote play quite a bit, so I want my entire library available to do so when I'm away from home. So most of what I buy is going to be digital. I plan on upgrading to a larger hard drive when I run out of space on this on...
This is good news. I haven't played a Tomb Raider game since the one released for the Xbox 360, near its launch. Before that, it was the first Tomb Raider that I played on the PC, back in the day.
Someone tell me what his changed since then? What makes this game so good, especially for PC?
Wow! Strangers Wrath for free. I was just going to buy it. Thank you, Sony! PS Plus is awesome.
I'm playing COD Ghosts single player first, as I knew it was the least next gen game of the bunch that I bought. Next, I may play Contrast, save Knack for the wife and I's vacation via Remote Play and do Battlefield or AC when we get back. Im saving Killzone for last, as it is the showcase title for in game visuals at launch.
I think the PS4 launch titles are great. A good combination of all genres represented and they all are quality titles. Sure, Knack may have some...
If this is true, Sony needs to distance themselves from Foxconn as fast as possible. Its a shame that Sony seems to be baring the brunt of the employees anger, as they really have nothing to do with the issue. It sets up a huge lawsuit, if Sony wants to pursue it. Of course, they need proof.
This couldn't have come at a worse time for Sony, if true. Though its good they caught it early and it only seems to have affected a small amount of units... compared to how many are ...
Wow! This is an awesome feature. It's only a shame that they can't stream the audio at 5.1 surround sound through that jack. Still, for late night gaming, that can't be beat.
