You and me both.
War Thunder - (NA and EU) - November 29
:)
Awesome read. I didnt know they were using GPU compute. Seems like they were trying to dig as far into the metal as they could in their allotted time. Realtime raytracing and casting is amazing! I didnt think we would be seeing this in realtime games for another 10-20 years... And to see it first on a console... :o
There is a setting in the options menu to allow you to load directly into the last game you played when you shut off your PS4. When you turn your PS4 on the next time, you would load directly into that game and not into the dashboard.
I appreciate your comment. It's very rare for a PC gamer to admit when a console game looks phenomenal.
Notice the ray tracing on the streets from the neon lighting. Killzone also uses real-time ray tracing. I cannot believe in this day and age we are seeing ray tracing make its way into games. Totally amazing that technology has come this far from the bleeps and bloops we had just 20 years ago.
Custom soundtracks will be added via the MP3 update for the PS 4. At least in a roundabout way. I agree about having a CPU vs CPU battle in GM mode. I think it makes all the sense in the world and it is a feature I'd love to see also.
Best we can ever do is let Tiburon know what features we want and get other people on board with us. With that being said, it is definitely worth even just renting it, to see if you'd enjoy it.
This is the best review Ive seen so far for this game. And I agree wholeheartedly. People don't give this game a chance, cause they automatically have settled into the idea that EA doesn't do any work every year on the franchise games and instead just dial in development. That isn't the case with Madden 25 on the next GEN systems. It looks phenomenal, the crowd reacts to each and every play as if they would on a Sunday broadcast. The stadiums come alive with sharp texturing and an...
If you haven't see the PS4 teardown video, I suggest you watch it. PS4 is so well put together that you only see one or two wires in the entire system. Everything basically clicks together to make one coherent piece. It's amazing, the engineering they did with this console.
Microsoft went with a more PC like architecture. That was probably, like the article says, designed around their fear of the red light happening all over again.
Still pretty amazin...
Yeah, I agree. Though, I guess there's enough people in the world who will shell out that kind of money for the game. It makes no sense though, as almost everybody has a smart phone or iPad or PC and can play this game cheap.
They can just release them on PSN and charge five or $10 for them and people would still be willing to pay that. But at $50, it's ridiculous to pay the same price as you would for game like GTA or Last Of Us. That have exponentially more work put...
Yea, thats a ridiculous amount for, what amounts to, stickers. I do like the carbon fiber though. At $15, it would've been a sale.
Thanks to the both of you. Cant wait for its release!
I got my system on Nov. 15 and bought/ got:
Killzone
Knack
Madden 25
NFS: Rivals
Flower
Resogun
Blacklight
Rented via Gamefly:
COD Ghosts
Battlefield 4
Assassins Creed
Rented COD and Battlefield 4 because I only play single player and new both missions were very short. Rented AC, because I wasn't the biggest fan last generation and wanted to see if I liked it...
Im curios, what happened to War Thunder? I thought it was supposed to be a launch game and then it disappeared and i don't even see it in upcoming releases. Its one of my most anticipated titles, that is why I ask.
People refused to believe me from the start when I speculated that the CPU speed was variable. I didn't actually know that they could make it even faster depending on how many cores they were using. That's amazing.
Yes, the Xbox One is locked at 1.75Ghz.
If this is true, this makes the PS4 a totally scalable machine over the duration of the generation. Allowing developers to get the most out of the system, the best way they see fit. Again, amazing.
Thanks for the info. I guess Im glad i didnt buy a bunch of tables for the Vita version then. This looks like the definitive version. I cant wait to play it. Im wondering if it will still have the ability to turn the screen vertically, for vita remote play, to see more of the table.
Ill definitely add you. Im always up for some old school competition.
Awesome! Looks incredible. Do we get this free, if we bought it for the Vita?
I own one of the biggest recording studios on the East Coast and there is absolutely no discernible difference, referenced by some of the best producers in the industry, between 24 bit and 32-bit. Don't get caught up in the numbers game. No human being on the planet will be able to tell the difference between the two.
It's just a way for music equipment manufacturers to charge you more money.
This is great news, but kind of pointless. As the PS4 already supports LCPM, which is the highest bit rate lossless audio you can have. Set your receiver to multi channel or LCPM, depending on which receiver you have. Check your manual for reference. I would imagine any modern receiver, post 2010, would support all three of these audio formats.
For comparison:
LPCM = 27.648 Mbit/s
Dolby TrueHD = 18.64 Mbit/s
DTS-HD MA = 24.5 Mbit/s
"GameStop has Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and DriveClub for the PS4 for $59.99."
Cool. Gamestop will have Driveclub on Black Friday. :)
