Yeah, they should probably warn somebody next time. I spent the first hour thinking that somebody was breaking in behind me. I couldn’t figure out where the hell the sound was coming from. Then I put two and two together. LOL.
I appreciate your reply and explanation, though it’s hard for me to understand why anyone would hold development back for any one system, especially now, with these mid gen refresh consoles having millions of owners. It would be a move that could alienate millions of sales, simply because they were too lazy to bother?
I understand it’s what the rep told you... though, it seems extremely short sighted on their part to do the bare minimum on the more powerful machines and it’...
No, it wasn’t. It was a single player game with an idea for multiplayer, that started out small(remember, it was basically the same as most multiplayer extensions with deathmatch, capture the flag and co-op) and blossomed into what it is today. They just kept adding and adding and the community grew larger and larger and the income from that helped develop it into what it has become.
If anything, it was the community that made the game what it is, continues to be, and what ...
I agree that at $60, it may not have sold well. Especially with the announcement of its inclusion in Game Pass. Simply because, you could pay for Game Pass for a month or two or five and see if it fits you. Its one of those games that is sitting right on the threshold of greatness. The first game was good, though limited in scope. This game is fixing that. And until people actually see and know that themselves, they aren’t going to spend $60 to find out. At $30, it becomes a throwaway. A regi...
I agree in both cases. Both Sony and Microsoft have a hell of a great backlog to pull from. Some of these games like Fable that are getting true X patches, look fantastic and it’s a perfect way to both honor the past and add modern technology to the mix, to bring out the best In all of those games.
Sonys doing it by remastering some of the best games they’ve ever released. Its awesome being able to play all of the games I missed over the years, with modern visuals.
What a ridiculous article, without an ounce of fact. Susie’s brother Tony told John that Stacy’s Cousins Uncles Girlfriend was pregnant. In other news, North Korea has agreed to stop testing Nuclear Weapons. World wins.
I agree. It would lessen the value of Game Pass. Because it would take 4 games at $30 each to equal the value of Game Pass, which means Microsoft would have to guarantee 4 first party titles a year on the service to make it worth more than just buying the titles at retail. At $50 or $60 each, it makes Game Pass look like a steal. Though, the $30 price tag would appease retailers as long as they still make the same cut, because the choice would still bring gamers who prefer physical into their...
Yea. I thought about doing installments. Im the same in that I love the level editors. Most of the time, more than the game itself. I hope they do mouse and keyboard support. The editors are always so much easier with them.
Maybe we can work on something together.
Now, my question is... are the updates going to be hidden behind the DLC paywall, or are they separate? I need to know whether or not to buy the regular version or the bundle with the season pass.
I love the idea, though there are questions that need to be answered...
*Is it any and all assets from those games? Or, is it just some hand picked ones?
*Also, will you need those games to grab the assets from? Or, will Ubisoft have an online database you can pull from?
*How do you program AI for story sequences? And, how intricate can you do it?
*Can you tie together sequences to make an entire game with levels?

Ive always been worried about freesync as a standard, because then what stops developers from releasing sub 30fps games, knowing that they dont have to hit a constant framerate? Obviously, tearing and frame pacing issues should be eliminated regardless... though, what does a 20fps game look like with freesync enabled?
I dont know. I originally was under the impression that freesync was hardware based and therefore every game could benefit. Though, I’m not so sure that’s true anymore. There are conflicting reports around the Internet.
Id like it and remote play on Android and iOS devices using the Xbox controller. I love having my Playstation games with me when Im on the road or vacation. Id love to have my Xbox games, also. Its one of my most wanted features, next to Xbox system customization(the home screen and menus).
Im excited for both this and Days Gone. They each offer up unique gameplay. With Days Gone serving up a story oriented single player experience... while this is more of a survival game.
Stuff like this makes me glad I own both the Pro and X. The best of both worlds.
I can turn that around on you and say “What’s the point of these added features, if only first parties are going to take advantage of them?”. It was the same with the PS3 and the cell. Features are only beneficial if developers can easily take advantage of them. Because if they can’t, they will generally take the path of least resistance to get them where they need to be performance-wise. The same could be said of the Xbox One and S’s eDRAM.
2x16 is only useful for basic fu...
Yea baby! It deserves it.
I bought Doom, The Division, Resident Evil 7 and Everspace in anticipation and because they were on Microsofts Enhanced list as In Development or Coming Soon. I am still very impatiently waiting. Supposedly, Everspace is in Microsofts hands for certification. Everything else is MIA. Resident Evil 7 has been coming soon for 4 months.
Id like to see Battlefield 1, Condemned, NFS: Most Wanted, Sunset Overdrive, Watchdogs 1 & 2, Ace Combat 3-6, GTA IV & V, Red Dead Red...
They always start to peak around 3-4 years into the generation. the problem this generation, unlike most before it, is the PS4 and Xbox One started the generation at a decent deficit to PCs best. Making the generation age even quicker. It didn’t help that the CPUs were underpowered, which left AI and Physics improvements behind. So the generation has been about really nothing more than visuals... and in some ways, I think we actually took a step back from last gen (in the aforementioned areas...
Yea, Mirrors Edge also got a new update. Microsoft said in an interview that when they add support for more titles , that other titles that they already enhanced for the X may also see benefits. So I’m guessing that is what we are seeing.
It is incredible how they are doing the 360 enhancements for the X. Some games rendered their texture mipmaps on the fly on the 360. So for those games, the emulator that they built for the X tells the game engine to render those mipmaps a...
That was one of the most painful articles I’ve ever read. Between the questions, answers and the grammatical errors. Was it just me, or did he ask the same question 5 different ways? What enhancements are there for the Pro and X? 1440p and 4K. What resolution will they be running at? 1440p and 4K.
will the game support HDR? The game was mastered in SDR and will run on HDR and SDR screens. He could have just said no.
Holly God, I think I lost 10 IQ points ...
