Where do I start?
I can remember so many times when videogames took me away to my own little world, from the time I was 5. The Mattel games wisking me away to be a pro football or baseball player. The Pong unit hooked up to my black and white TV. Arcades in every corner of the planet that sucked up thousands of hours of my friends and I’s time. So many memories that are crystal clear, to this very day.
I can remember every Friday night, heading to Superca...
Total hyperbolic BS clickbait title. In no way, shape or form does the listing say anything about COD 2019 or any COD title for that matter. It is simply stating a next gen title with single player features. No year of release or any other hint at what title it actually is.
As said before me, they’ve been saying this for many years. the problem being, most internet providers have caps that would be quickly exceeded with game streaming services. Two, though getting better... internet speeds aren’t consistent enough to reliably stream games at resolutions that many are now getting used to, from 1080p to 4K. Now, try streaming 4K games with HDR at a bandwidth that allows the quality forwarded by consoles... Have you seen 4K HDR streamed movies? Barely distinguishab...
I don’t know why it would, it’s years away and anyone who wants to play games is going to buy what they want, when they want. The X was always touted as for those that wanted the high end experience on consoles, a way for gamers to play in 4K before next gen begins. Owners still have another 2 years before the next generation starts and probably another 3 years after that before development on last gen systems starts winding down. That is, unless the X doesn’t start the generation as the base...
Exactly what I was going to write. Pretending like next gen consoles aren’t coming, until they are announced shortly before their release is juvenile. Technology moves at a fast pace and consoles have remained behind the curve for the past 2 generations. The mid gen refreshes were nice, as they allowed those who love to be at the forefront, to do so and play their favorite games at their console best. Especially since this gen allowed for nothing more than visual upgrades to last, due to the ...
I don’t know about anybody else, but I’ve been having a blast with the beta since the day it came out. It’s much better than the original game. The addition of aircraft and boats really helps round out the disciplines and opens up a lot more gameplay choices for the player. The graphics are a big upgrade over the original game, especially on the Xbox One X. I have not tried it yet on my PS4 Pro, but I’m sure it looks fine on there too.
The object motion blur really helps to...
I think the problem the game has had is in its inability to distinguish itself from the first game. The first game was great at the time, but by today’s standards would be boring and repetitive. Play Agents Of Mayhem to see why. It’s fun in spurts, has some cool characters, but suffers from its repetitive gameplay. Though it is basically a carbon copy of Crackdown.
I don’t know what they could do with the series to bring it up to modern standards, without varying too far aw...
Awesome news for both consoles, especially with the destruction engine in tow. Great to see developers for games that have been out for some time still putting the work in for the upgraded systems.
Why is this tagged with anything other than PC? There is no modding in this game on consoles. I wish there was, would love to play in first person, unfortunately it’s not so.
As said below, we won’t see any new big franchises until next generation. Is it too late? No, it’s never too late. Look at Sony for a perfect example. They took every cent they made from the PS3 era on and invested it in first party studios and he has paid off for them this generation.
I expect, since we are about 2 to 3 years out from next generation, that Microsoft is going to have one hell of a launch for the Xbox 2. Though, whether that will pan out for them or not rea...
Ok. So they might as well just take the game out of the retail and digital stores, because they are esentially killing it’s appeal by not renewing the licenses. Wow. Well, hopefully Williams and Midway do their own digital games. Id even pay $5000 plus for a full sized digital pinball machine that includes all of the classic tables. Just as long as it’s 4K. Which I think is FarSights biggest issue..
Not keeping up to date with new tables and the newer consoles and taking advantage o...
How about Microsoft go back to what they said they were originally going to do with points and let us trade them in for games and DLC on Xbox Live. Every 500 points equals 1 Xbox Dollar. Meaning, complete a games 1000 achievement points and get $2 towards a purchase on Xbox Live. Every 10 games equal $20. Meaning it would take you 30 games to get a free one at $60, but it is still incentive to keep playing and earning achievements.
Maybe Gold members get 1.5x points.
That’s two! Ridiculously lazy, as it’s been a franchise staple and most of the campaigns are only 6-10 hours long anyways. Wow.
I do like the backwards compatibility thing. It’s nice to have that library to fall back on when you’re in the mood to play something classic. I do wish that the Xbox One X automatically upgraded the games like they are doing with the enhanced titles, maybe even pulling from the library of PC games that have enhanced textures on that platform. I’d also like to see PC titles get emulated. Which I think would be the biggest win for them of all. Because there are so many flight combat games I ...
Can you blame them for leaving? His last effort was just a carbon copy me too title that did nothing great. Stupid idea and the team probably has very little input on future projects. If they are leaving, then they probably have better opportunities at Epic. If they were happy, they’d be staying. So he needs to reevaluate why they want to go back into the corporate structure and what’s he can do to better his own workplace to keep that from happening again.
The problem is, ...
It looked incredible without the patch. I was actually surprised... as one day, before this patch was released, I saw it on one of Microsofts X lists and thought it had already been updated. Just with the Xs 16xAF and scaler chip 4K, it looked awesome. This patch takes it to its near e3 unveiling levels. Its jaw dropping, as the developers shot for photorealism and this patch made that happen. It just sucks that there isn’t more interaction and physics in the world.
I remem...
I agree with you guys. An open world Star Wars game is and has always been a dream game for me. Set it during 4,5 and 6 and let us fly to those planets in the movies. Imagine flying your X Wing from Tatooine to Hoth or to the Death Star for the battle in A New Hope or Jedi. The thought of being able to experience those movies in an open world game, with the freedom to change the outcome. What if you, as Luke, join the dark side?
The possibilities would be endless and incred...
There were no counselors in Part VII. There wasn’t even a camp. It was a bunch of people getting together at their parents cabin for a birthday party. With Tina, her mom and her doctor staying next door to get Tina out of the nut house for a few days to work out her issues(though doc really brought her up there to exploit her psychokinetic powers).
One of my favorite Fridays, as I loved the introduction of Tinas powers to the mix. It added a new twist to the old formula and...
Looks incredible! Lets see if the visuals hold up across all versions, if at all, and the gameplay matches the visual aspirations. It looks like it could be a nice cross between The Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come.
I’m the opposite because I try to be as nice as I can and it’s difficult for me to change my ways and beliefs, even for a game. I just find it near impossible to be anything other than me.
