Exactly. I think it's time that some developers developed specifically for one system so they can make the best out of their game on that particular system, instead of spreading the resources thin and doing an average job across all platforms.

If that game does well on that particular system they develop it for, then maybe they can take it to other platforms and take advantage of their hardware specifically. I just hate when developers, especially smaller indie studios, d...

I would love it if there was a crazy taxi kind of minigame. A police minigame, maybe allow us to run a pawnshop or something, car stealing minigame, nightclub owner, bank robber, etc...

There are just so many different professions we could partake in, in this game world that would make the game last for hundreds of hours past completion of the main story. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.

Looks like Twisted for the 3DO, which could be an awesome thing for party couch co-op.

Ive seen all of the launch games selling from $20 on up at different retailers. Most of them are selling at $39.99 on a daily basis. Even the digital games have been lowered in price at times. I bought Tomb Raider and Thief from the PSN Store for $29.99 each. Other games Ive seen from $39-$49.

So, unless you've been living under a rock for a while. Almost all of the launch games have been lower than retail price on almost a daily basis at most websites. Especially Amazon....

Very cool. There is so much to see and do in this universe, they could release DLC for 10 years. It would be very cool to view the universe from a different perspective, outside of the hackers. Maybe from the police, or some Joe on the street whos been hacked and wants to get his life back. There are a ton of ways they can go about DLC.

This is one of my most wanted games next to Watchdogs... but this news isn't good news. I don't play online, will never play with other people multiplayer and just enjoy doing game missions myself. I hope there's a way to lock other people out of your game, so you don't see real people driving around. If not, they may have lost a customer. I don't dig the micro transactions either. I think it's a cheat for people who don't want to play the real game, to gain experi...

It is ambitious, though totally possible. Last gen will have less NPCs on the streets and fewer AI routines. So, on next gen an AI character may be able to make 1 out of a total of 20 different decisions based on background, social standing, mental capacity or strength... Whereas they may only have 5 or 10 routines or decisions on last gen. The game will play the same in missions across generations, but the AI for non mission NPCs just wont be as bright and there wont be as many of them. I th...

Yeah, I stocked up last Black Friday. I bought five years worth of service. At $30 a year, nobody can complain about paying for the service. You're talking about less than $.10 a day and not just getting multiplayer, but at least one free game a month. The games that have been released so far, have been phenomenal. And it's only going to get better as time goes on and more games are released.

This is how I feel also. I come from the Pong and Atari age, but having my library of games ready at a button click is incredible. I do worry that one day, when old servers are replaced with new, that my library will disappear... But, I also think that the future of computing and gaming is headed towards the cloud and all of our purchases should be safe for eternity.

If millions of gamers start relying on digital distribution,, I doubt any company would have the balls to pull...

The AI sounds ridiculous in this game. What would happen if you shot somebody and an AI character decided to call the police, you let them and jumped in the car in front of them and took off. Are the more aggressive AI, going to follow you in their own car and tell the police where you're driving to? If something like this would happen in the game,, it would bring a whole new meaning to AI in a game world. AI that acts and reacts to the players actions and can pose a threat, even though t...

These guys are nuts and prove just how powerful the PlayStation 4 hardware can be in competent hands. Self shadowing on the fans? That is just crazy ridiculous detail. Something most people won't notice, but will improve the overall aesthetics of the scene. Great stuff and only about a month to go. Cant wait!

Wow, who would've thought that Walmart would've been the one giving the most money for game trade-ins. I generally don't get rid of my games after I play them, but now I know if I want to... where to go to get the most amount of money. The good thing is, the more companies that get into buying used games, the more money each of them is going to have to pay to compete.

Great article, thank you for posting it.

Infamous Second Son is far more technically advanced than Battlefield 4. There is no reason they couldn't have had the PS4 resolution at 1080p and used SMAA. The problem was, they were developing the game across what... 6 platforms? They just didn't take the time to optimize the game on any platform. I didn't see much of anything in Battlefield 4 that was all that impressive. The character models, granted, are some of the best Ive ever seen in a video game. But, background texture...

Great review. I've been waiting for this game. I can't believe it hits tomorrow. Space combat and air combat in general is my favorite genre. This game reminds me a lot of freespace, with a mech suit instead of a proper ship. But the missions seem set up just like freespace. I haven't played a game like this since X on the PC. That and freespace were my last space shooter games. They are few and far between, not a lot of people make them. I can't wait to play this. This will p...

I wouldnt expect much from this game for a few years. They've never made a game before in their lives, so visually... I imagine it will look pretty bad. Gameplay may also be pretty bad.

This game isnt being made by professional game designers. It is being designed by MLBs website and statistics staff.

I agree. Projector gamer here at 120". Huge difference between 720p and 1080p. there is even a quite noticeable difference from 960p and 1080p. Picture is blurrier, more aliasing, less color saturation.

While Battlefield 4(at 960p) was better textured, COD(1080p) looked more next gen to me, because there wasnt a jaggy in sight, the colors popped and it looked cleaner and crisper.

Most everyone I know has a screen over 50". Resolution makes a huge di...

Ive never been impressed by any iteration of the Unreal Engine. It seems as if it is always playing catchup to other engines, like Cryengine. Not much is impressive about the video. Wood looks like plastic, fabric looks like cardboard. The most impressive aspect of the entire thing is the glass vases and lighting.

I think Epic just relies on their recognizable name and implements Madden-like mini upgrades every so often. Just enough to make developers feel as if they are stil...

Yea, you and I both. This game has the potential to bring the Oblivion back out of me... Where I spent the first 20 hours just walking around and staring at everything. I think I was 50 hours in, before I swung a sword. :)

This game has the potential to destroy marriages and ruin careers. Hahaha.

Yea, Im sure its bound to happen. Its just up to us to try to keep things positive and look past the negativity to enjoy the game for what it is and not what others hype builds it up to be.

I think with every game, everyone just needs to keep their expectations at a realistic level and let anything over that, amaze and surprise us.

Yeah, I wouldn't want everything to be destructible. I would like to see pieces chip off buildings and stuff like that, but not entire buildings being demolished because of a machine gun or even a rocket launcher. The world is supposed to be believable, full-blown destructibility wouldn't lend itself greatly to that.

It is going to be so awesome, playing in Queens. If you've never been there, it is a great mix of city feel, hometown and rural. Really the only pla...
