This has been every Elite fans wet dream for the past 25 years. I cannot wait to play it!
This kind of thing is what makes N4G such a great site. My only stop for video game news anymore. Thank you.
Except, it's not available here in the US on the PlayStation store. It was supposed to release Tuesday and never did. I love this game and have pretty much owned it on every platform it was ever released. I was excited to see it was coming to the PlayStation 4 via PSN. Hopefully, one day I'll get to play it. :)
Im right there with you. I was hyped to get this. Hopefully soon.
Its always great to see a developer finish a game early, so they have time to work out any kinks. Making the game everything it can be, without game ruining issues. Maybe the developers of Battlefield 4 should take some notes on how its done, instead of releasing a broken product and continuously(6 months later) release patches to play catch up. Leaving gamers flipping the bill for a sub par, broken, experience.
Cant wait to play this game!
Awesome. A 90s style on rails shooter. I've been aching for something different like this for a while.
This site is so cool, the most contests of any site Ive ever seen. Thank you N4G
I edited the original article, to better get my point across as to what I was trying to specify. Again, if it came off anyway that offended anybody, that wasn't the point. So hopefully you'll read the editing better understand what I was trying to say.
Looks pretty cool. I have this game on my gamefly list to rent. I don't know that it's worth a buy, but it looks like it'll be a lot of fun as a weekend rental.
Yet they give gamers nothing in return. I was never able to finish the single player, due to the save file glitch, then the game freezing. A wasted $60. Lesson learned. Buy no EA game before it has been out for a month or more, to see if gamers run into any bugs or glitches.
If Battlefield 4 looked decent on next gEn consoles, I would give some credibility to his tweets. But they didn't optimize the frostbite engine at all for next gen consoles, as there is no reason why they couldn't had had both 1080p and 60 frames per second on the PS4 version. It's a jaggy, blurry mess. Especially in single player, with such a linear environment and not much going on in it. I couldn't even finish the single player game due to all of the bugs. If the game wasn&...
If you had done any research into your assumptions, you would realize that quite a few FPS and some action games, give you the ability to use a mouse and keyboard on the PS4. Of course, judging from the hostility in your blog, you are obviously one of those fanboys that you so readily write off. Just using a PC, instead of a console, for your platform of boast.
I sometimes wonder if people like you can actually understand your own words. Because, if you did... You would reali...
I dont think people realize how ahead of its time this game was. I remember a friend showing it to me on his Amiga, when it released and I couldnt believe what I was seeing. The cinematic story telling, leading into a game that looked just as good... Paved the way for 3D gaming, long before it was an option. This was the first game, in my memory, that used polygons as opposed to the days sprites. The storytelling was the first of its kind, bringing a hollywood flair(woooooo) to gaming.
It' looks incredible, though I thought I saw this creature in one of the gameplay videos or trailers. I hope this game can be as epic as the movies. I love the fact that when you beat somebody up, later on in the game you will see the damage you've done and they will remember that fight and hold a grudge.
I haven't played multiplayer in probably 10 years, this game is going to get me back into it. It looks so awesome. I just hope people can keep their crap together to keep teamwork intact. There always needs to be one leader giving orders, in order to effectively rescue or keep the hostage. Anything other is just going to be mayhem if everybody is trying to get to and rescue the hostage.
If anything else, I love the Vita for its remote play capabilities. I use it all of the time, sometimes thousands of miles away from home, flawlessly.
Though, there are some great games for it that are truly console quality. I think Sony needs to take some initiative and get some great titles rolling for it. Titles that span all genres and show off the full capabilities. I think that PS Now is going to be huge for the system, allowing gamers the ability to play games from al...
Wow. I dont play multiplayer at all, but this looks like it will be a blast! First multiplayer game I will have played since COD 2.
I noticed that the suspend feature is available in certain situations. One day, I was playing Infamous and decided to check out something with Netflix or some other app that had me close out of Infamous... But when I came back, Infamous was in its paused state that I left it in when I started Netflix. I noticed it on multiple occasions.
Though, I agree, to be able to turn the machine off and then come back to continue your game without loading... Would be heavenly. Especially...
I have no doubt we will be seeing Uncharted 4 like graphics running at 1080p and 60 frames per second by the end of the second year or beginning of the third year of the console. PC enthusiasts automatically compare the PS4 to PC hardware, but you cannot do that because of the unique specifications of the hardware. They forget that the PS4 does not have background services running, it doesn't have five layers of drivers they have to plow through in order to get different pieces of hardwar...
"However, how many players want to spend an additional $60 on a slightly better edition?"
This is where they lost me. Slightly better? Did they not watch the comparison video? The game looks incredible on next gen systems. Makng even Watchdogs look bad, with its denser population and true 1080p visuals. Everytime I watch the trailer I drool at the hours I will spend, as I did in Watchdogs, just walking around and admiring the scenery. The draw distance is the bigges...
