This looks incredible. All of these great racing games releasing, both arcade and sim, are bringing back my love for the genre... which I thought had long faded. Cant wait to play this! Going to order my wheel tomorrow.

If it was a CPU issue, they could've used some of the extra APUs(Shaders cores) in the PS4 to help with the math. It was either an easy way out of more time and energy, a precalculated decision based on manufacturer relationships or a game engine limitation.

I love all of these conferences that we've been getting lately. It makes it feel almost as if there's a new system launch coming every year. And in a way, with these new titles being announced, there is. With them taking better advantage of our systems and making them feel new all over again.

I agree. At least EA was smart enough to not let the rumor mill get out of hand. They clipped its wings by telling the truth. Whether that would have been 900p/900p or whatever, at least they didnt leave gamers hanging. I think it is great news that they took advantage of each systems strengths. I don't know if it's not living up to the hype more then there weren't any games at launch that couldn't have been done the generation before. Like, even when the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launched... Games like Kameo, that had gorgeous visuals and hundreds of characters on the screen at once, made you know you were playing a next gen game.

Yeah. The AI is more than competent in this game. I've watched them spin out, due to bad decisions around turns. I also saw them trying to overtake each other with or without success and if you ram into the AI, they seem to remember you down the line and will do the same if they have a chance. It generally happens around the worst of turns too, which makes you do a 180.

I agree with this statement. If you go in not expecting the second coming of Christ, then you will have fun with its Arcade like gameplay. If you are expecting Gran Turismo or Forza( Proper, not Horizon), you will be disappointed. The visuals are gorgeous and the game fun. Looks and plays like a next gen Ridge Racer with Project Gotham Racing 1s point and upgrade system. With some USA muscle cars and city tracks, it would be awesome.

Yes, I can see the difference between them. Probably more so than a lot of people, because I game using a projector and 120 inch screen. So the difference between 900p and 1080p is actually fairly large. Most noticeable in clarity and sharpness of the environments. Also in color saturation and aliasing, which tends to suffer even more due to the upscale.

I agree an eight is probably perfect. I just played for another five hours straight and I'm really enjoying the game. I like how aggressive the AI is. It gives you a real challenge in single player. I can't remember the last time that I played a game for so long in one day. That says a lot for how much fun this game is.

I just played the game for the last five hours straight and can truly say that Gamespot score is ridiculously low. The game is old-school arcade racing, a mix between RidgeRacer and Project Gotham. Set up almost the same. There isn't much Sim about it.

Yea, all games are built using PCs... so what is the issue using PCs to demo the games using settings that emulate those of the console they are demoing the game on? As per the 4k set... Most 4k sets upscale 1080p images to 4k. So I am guessing that is what you were seeing and not true 4k gameplay.
I could care less what system they demo the game on, as long as it is emulating 1:1 what I will see when I play it at home.

I wouldnt be against this, if they let players make their own point to point or circuit courses to share online. That way it appeases both hard core sim and open world arcade fans, allowing for open world exploration while also allowing for that structured feel that true sim fans love. The best of both worlds.
