Nintendo took their idea from Web portals like Yahoo Google Msn Hotwire askjeeves, ask.com altavista, Apple's dashboard, windows media center and more. Give credit where credit is due.
Ridiculous.
Wow.... a lil defensive aren't ya?
Thank god I'm not you and can afford my ps3, wii and if I chose to, a 360 unlike you...
Now to paraphrase your insult back at you:
I can see where your angst is playing on a system with blurry characters full of angular shapes, low textures, or formless blobs like this game, when other nex-gen gamers get near-CG graphics.
Well... therein lies the difference. If I didn't have a 46" HDTV and a 5.1 surround system... I'd would get the 360 like you. The ps3 features would seem extraneous. But since I do have a AV setup and I welcome less wires (the whole reason I use HDMI vs. component... and am smacking myself for not waiting for Wireless HDMI) and I want HD content, the PS3 makes absolute sense. From that perspective the 360 is just strictly a toy/gamesystem.
PS3
A RELIABLE Gamesystem ...
Good point with your post. Personally I would take longterm and fore thought over instant gratification. That's how the some ppl become rich and others stay poor. But to each person their own. My take is when you have to start spending money for 2+ units for the same product... and u still can't be sure you're getting is going to last, then you're just wasting money. Doesn't matter how good the content is now if you can't play it a year down the line when newer stuff come out.
Why don't u just google it. It's common knowledge at this point. prove it to yourself.
isn't that what Little Big Planet's supposed to do that for the PS3 as well MorganX?
Braid is an XBLA game, it's not widely marketed, thus it is niche as well as any PSN title. Granted I'll give it the innovation vote, but the same donkey Kong levels can be made on LBP which will be a mass marketed game.
Anyway, I find it interesting that all these publications (and some of you fanboys) are hollering about Xbox360 winning this Christmas season because of a price drop...
I would certainly give a damn, if I see the US economy is toileting like it is. I would certainly look toward Europe and Asia for my future market. Right now Europe and Asia combined is > US. Why wouldn't I care?
@4.8 That is exactly I don't think Sony will follow immediate suit. Getting lumped into that price war / statistic is the last thing I would want my company's product associated with.
Why would sony drop ps3 prices to $299? There are barely any bluray players out there that sell under $299 right now. Would make absolutely no sense.
@2.5 I doubt Sony will do a perm pricedrop. Perhaps a temporary discount or rebate for the holidays.
Are you his alter account? Seriously, there is nothing here that Joeynox said that explains the reason why.
Well here is food for thought. Assuming that a 2x bluray has about the same streaming rate as a 12x dvd drive, would the MB/s speed be fast enough to stream 25-50GB bluray disc vs. a 4.7-9.4GB DVD?
You wouldn't be reverting to animal instinct if you had those RFOM weapons pointed at you in multiplayer. Take's some brains to actually creatively use the weapons.
And btw, everyone on this site has already ready how multiplayer works in rfom2, you can't pull any Bull crap out of your ass anymore. Please.
I am thinking the hard disk advantage is dependent upon the file size of the game. Most 360 games won't load faster because they are designed to fit and stream off a DVD. I can 100% guarantee for example that Final Fantasy XIII will load ALOT faster when installed on a HD then swapping and streaming 6-7 discs.
Sure bladestar let's factor it in.
I bought a Western Digital 250 gb drive for $64.00
You will pay what? $199 for your 120 for the 360?
hmmm... guess the ps3 is still a better deal.
True. I did. I got a Western Digital 250gb for around 64.00 as well. The poster earlier up who got the Seagate Momentus... i feel bad for you. You should've read the reviews. This WD on pricewatch is as fast as 7200 rpm drives.
actually from what I read. The textures used in the PS3 bioshock are uncompressed and therefore higher quality.
I think considering the price of entry was a $2500 TV... that's more icing on the TV than pushing ps3 volume...
Here's a better example.
Interesting point about only a 10% increase in graphical assets. Is it really just the chip underpowered or is it as I suspect b/c of how much dedicated cycles is needed to calculate and render the motion activity on-screen?
No .... it just looks better on the xbox. It isn't art style. The resolution looks higher and sharper period and I definitely am no xbox fan and will admit as much.
Wow... impressed by whoever who did that. Great stuff. Its mocking and amusing for non-red alert players like myself.
