It is high time the 'casual' gamers are called out on their lack of sensibilities and awareness.
That dialogue was just pure chest clutchingly cringe straight from the annals of rom-com dialogue cliches.
From all their games I have played, they are pretty standard fare. Wasn't mindblown by any of the stories.
WItcher 3's game design is far more complex than HZD.
And no, not just the combat, the side quests, the branching narrative, reactive open world etc
CoD has always been for the mindless run shoot die community. Play ARMA or Insurgency if you are looking for something better.
I played MW (OG) about 4 years ago.
Played MW 2019 Beta and it felt 95% the same. As if they just patched it, added a few mechanics, balanced it a bit and fine tuned it. Definitely not worth 60$ or even 30$ or anything tbh.
But can't blame the devs, they are just catering to demand, people love mediocrity.
Been the case for years now.
Happy realization.
More like the consumers need to stop getting tricked. You can only make a fool out of fools.
All of them are miles better. DMC5 objectively has far better and much deeper combat than GoW. Witcher 3 has a better dad/daughter story than Last of Us, Nioh has a comprehensive combat system to match the likes of DMC5, Nier has a story that is just as mundane as it brilliant, something that you can't find in any other medium, Dark Souls is one of the best RPGs ever made.
If I had to pick exclusives that would go toe to toe with these games, Bloodborne and Persona 5 ar...
Implying games like Dark Souls, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Witcher 3, Devil May Cry, Nioh, Nier etc don't exist which are much better than all exclusives.
Inb4 I am a Microsoft nuthugger, check my comment history.
@Neonridr
But Steam didn't do that, did it?
Steam tried paid mods, the community refused, they stopped it. That didn't stop Bethesda from making a mod store.
Bring up that argument when the situation comes at hand, not before it. Steam never held hostages.
Stupidity is understating your condition. This is what I would ignorant, philistine approach to a hobby. You know that everything here is monetary for all the wrong reasons. Fortnite isn't a game that deserves to be earning millions, Epic shouldn't have enough money to just buy out exclusives, and even if it does, exclusivity should be something that isn't just about money. You also know that Epic has a ton of features missing that other launchers do and yet you support them.
Something does not become ambition just because it has not been done by that particular entity.
A kid trying to make a mechanical boat is not ambition for the rest of the world.
So you are telling me, all movie critics need to be movie makers, all game critics need to be game developers, all art auteurs need to be artists themselves etc and mind you, vice versa will hold true as well.
"Not every game needs to be ambitious"
There is literally no ambitious AAA game rn. Dying Light 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 come to mind, but even Dying Light isn't very high budgeted.
No it doesn't. All it proves is that they are ready to throw as much money as they can to bring consumers into their ecosystem. Don't twist the narrative. That headline is beyond stupid that even IGN, Kotaku etc seem half decent at this point.
At least someone recoognizes it. I would say 90% of the AAA industry show a lack of ambition. From EA to Ubisoft to Activision.
Agreed. It is a modern classic. Made me remember the PS2 days of gaming. Also, it is a technical achievement. The amount of fidelity at 60 fps even on consoles was insane, unparalleled. That combined with probably the deepest combat in existence system aside from DMC4, HOLY HECK!!! It is GOTY by such a huge margin it isn't even funny. I finished the game in a single sitting of 10 hours and 0 regrets.
It was pure fan service integrated within a decent story (Though I sti...
From a different perspective- Modern AAA games aren't worth getting on Day 1 these days. Lack of new things,, pandering to SJWs and idiots, anti-consumer practices, stale mechanics everything make modern AAA games not worth it.
Without wikis- Deus Ex OG (Even Human Revolution is good, but not Deus Ex good), Nier: Automata, Witcher 3, System Shock 2 (SHODAN still gives me goosebumps), Persona 4 (5 is a close second, but 4 just had that X factor due to the heavy atmosphere), Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 both (Especially that quest system, that game makes narrative in modern games look obsolete by 50 years),
With Wikis and Vaati Vidya- Them Dark Souls/Bloodborne and HOLLOW KNIGHT, THE OBJECTIVELY PERFECT GA...
