1) it assumes the 360 will keep selling at its current pace.

1) the 360 sold less units in 2007 than it did in 2006
2) the PS3 sales are increasing & the big titles are yet to come

I get where you're going with the "look after the American market" thing, but I don't think thats what they've been doing. They've certainly TRIED to get the other markets ($50 for GTA4 DLC, marketing JRPGS like Eternal Sonata & Lost Odyssey).....its just not working.

The results of that poll shouldn't come as a surprise considering the current installed base tally. Its all about the numbers.
When a multiplat hit both the PS2 and Xbox, it never came as a surprise when the PS2 version sold more due to its 6-1 intalled base advantage.
The same theory applies to the release of GTA4 at this time when 360 has an install base 6-7 million units stronger.

I've always done that with "ATLUS" titles its paid off every time.
1) You fail to realize the bigger picture; those early ports may have been rushed, but most of that is due to the fact that the 360 launched a year earlier so the multiplats were ported from the 360 with devs not being used to working with the PS3.
Now that the devs have sunken thier teeth into the PS3, those early problems are fading, and you'll soon see that the PS3 is just as powerfull and capable as the 360.

1) The PS3 wasn't "late out of the gate", it was released properly and right on time. If anything, it was the 360 that was RUSHED, which is why its had so many problems. Since 2007 when the Wii and PS3 hit the market, the 360 has been on the decline while Nintendo and Sony continue to pick up steam.
2) That coveted 3 year warranty won't look so spiffy when you're in year 4 of ownership and scared to turn your system ...

To me, the funniest thing about the whole debate is the 360 cronies who keep droning on about "the PS3 having no games"....and then you look at what they're playing on thier 360 and you can only shrug your shoulders because you're playing most of the same games on your PS3.
All I keep hearing from the XBot camp is that the PS3 has no games, yet my PS3 game collection is 13 games strong and I love every one of them. To each their own I guess.

What is considered a "must have" game is subjective.
Oblivion, Uncharted, HL2:OrangeBox, Resistance FoM, Call of Duty 4, Ratchet & Clank FToD.....those are all "must haves" to me, and someone else might have a different list, like maybe "RockBand", ...
