seriously, is there enough gold in that thing to make it worth the effort? (not that dying is worth it anyways, but you know what i mean)
To me, the idea of "home" and possible downloads are just the icing on an already delicious cake.
At the end of the day its still going to be the games that make me proud to own my PS3, and 2008 is looking sweeeeeet.
So they're worried about where the kid got the damned video game.....and not where the kid happened to come across a friggin' handgun!?
If the kids have access to handguns, I think its a tad pointless to worry about what they're playing on their PlayStation.
......MS would be already talking about downloads being the future, if HD-DVD had beaten out BluRay? (the answer is NO, they'd be bragging about HD-DVD and selling that to you)
LOL, so now I'm a "shallow gamer" because I don't like the same games as you?
Sorry, but the Wii's games just don't interest me. I'm sick of Mario, I don't like mini-games, and I already played "Twilight Princess", "Bully", "Resident Evil 4", "Okami" and such on other systems.
The 360 and PS3 have more games that interest me than the Wii does, and if that makes me "shallow" then at least I'll be enjoying my ...
I can appreciate that you like the 360 and defend it admirably without the mouthy fanboy crap, and for that you have my respect.
That said, I manage a small local video game shop, and in my personal experiences with customer feedback, the problems with the RRoD amongst other problems persist, and MS is not "taking care of its customers".
1)We've had several newer systems come back with a wide variety of issues from RRoDs to wonky disk trays, cable problems...
lol, well said friend.
I agree that online is important, but the PSn has been fine for my needs thusfar and it'll keep improving. "Live" didn't help the Xbox from being squashed by the PS2, and it won't stop the PS3 from selling either.
my comments were directed to the guy above you, sorry if you got the wrong idea.
You just called him a "fanboy" and then acted more like a fanboy than he did.
As for why the PS3 hasn't hit that number yet? I dunno, because the PS3 launched over a year after the 360 maybe? Just guessing, but I'm sure the PS3 will get there too, and then we can have another pointless article to read.
No need to try and convince me of the Wii, it was my personal opinion that I gave, and it stands. I'm not trying to convince others not to get a Wii, I'm just tossing in my 2 cents:
I don't like Mario games. I don't like Mini-games. I don't want to play remakes of PS2 and NGC games. And after you eliminate those, the Wii's game lineup is very slim, at least in my personal opinion.
Both systems will have more price drops and various fluxuations in sales. Did you really need this article to tell you that systems are being sold, and price drops often increase the numbers?
this is one of those jokes that might end up closer to reality than you'd originally think....
you just know some upstart little game company exec will see this and think "geez, if only we could....."
Its selling based on some brilliant marketing, but once you open the box and get past the gimmicky gameplay, there isn't much there.
And seriously, look at the list of the Top 10 selling Wii games (Wiiplay, WiiSports, Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, Smash Bros Brawl etc.....)
Cripes, what if I don't like mini games or mario very much!? Then what do I get to play? Nothing but a bunch of recycled NGC and PS2 titles.
Okay, so it took the PS3 a year to get to one million, and the 360 over 2 years to get to 2 million. And this just in, people like price drops.
Seriously, this isn't news, it isn't information, its useless fodder for debates that the article can't even really support, and nothing more.
I can only speak to my own personal experiences, and both 360's I've owned were much louder than my PS3.
Its easy to brag about having a bigger game library when you rush flawed hardware to market just to get a year's head start.
90% of the best 360 are also on PS3 anyways, and the PS3's exclusive lineup interests me way more than the 360's.
I'm glad I watched the video clip....it doesn't look like I'll enjoy the new battle system as much as previous FFs.
Still a must play from a story aspect though.
I can appreciate your points because its exactly how I feel about the PlayStation 3; it has a much better controller, interface, less noise, and better features not relating to gaming.
And also the PS3 has all the exclusives I'm interested in.
............for me to pony up the dough for a PSP.
Seriously people, stop taking away his bubbles. This dude is the most amusingly rediculous bloke around!
"I spent 8 years building a DVD library so BluRay can BLOW ME".....
some good logic there. I'm gonna go pop in an 8track and fire up the Atari7800 because CDs and anything else of a new format can "BLOW HIM" too.
