@andrewsquall
"clearly you have a PS4 and Vita this past 4 years and Remote Play on them all the time."
Yes, clearly people wanted to pay the 249.99 + 399.99 at launch in order to remote play for games on a network connection only. Portability is important for some, but not when it is hindered by needing a stable online connection and high cost of entry. Not to mention the lag.
I think the reason why Nintendo didn't put an ethernet port in the Switch dock is due to the docking/undocking feature. I think they wanted to ensure that downloading or online play isn't interrupted when taken out of the dock.
I'm not sure, but that's the only legitimate reason I can think of besides lowering the cost. Which ethernet ports don't cost much to begin with, so I'm not sure why that would be the defining factor for Nintendo.
This looks pretty bland, in my opinion.
@roadkillers
Pokemon has already become 3D with the newest generations, so I'm not sure what you mean.
I would flip Persona 5 with Horizon: Zero Dawn, and get rid of Destiny 2 (replace it with Resident Evil 7) for my list. Other than that, it's not bad.
I've loved just about every inch of Zelda. It's one of the few games that I constantly pick up and play. I don't have too much time for gaming anymore, so it's very rare that a game will get more than 150 hours out of me like Zelda did. Horizon: Zero Dawn was really fun too. Really great graphics, and cool...
Lol Sono421 getting mad at Zelda again.
Well, you'll be missing some good games. Hopefully Nintendo fixes whatever issues you have with the system though.
Switch's OS kernel has been dumped, but no functioning emulator is available (i.e. you won't be playing Mario Odyssey on your PC for a while)
Splatoon 2 has been narrowing the gap just about every week. It will take a bit of time, but it will likely outsell Dragon Quest XI on PS4.
Really? I'm still playing Breath of the Wild even after I beat it! I love that game to pieces. Maybe it's because of the DLC, though. I have a reason to go back and beat hardmode.
There were a couple areas where the Dreamcast was better (mostly in its ease in pulling off hardware effects like mipmapping and ease of development), the PS2 was, by and large, more powerful. Just about anything the Dreamcast could do the Playstation 2 could do better, it would just require more effort. Which developers were willing to do because of the large install base for the console.
The reason why the Dreamcast should be fairly irrelevant in this discussion is because the Dreamcast was no longer on the market when the Gamecube and the Xbox landed in the market place. Unfortunately, that isn't reflected in the article as they did clearly state "of the generation".
Breath of the Wild isn't 480i either, you know.

Because a recent livestreamer came under a lot of scrutiny for using a racial slur. They don't want an accident like that to happen and be associated with it.
It isn't about "free" advertising...it's about the right kind of advertising.
Protecting their brand from live streamers such as PewDiePie, who used a racial slur on a recent livestream and was scrutinized for it heavily.
People who disagree really should try presenting a counter-point.
Morrowind was on the original Xbox, you know.
I love Morrowind, but if there is one thing that the series has improved on it's combat. Going back to the chance-to-hit mechanic can be a bit jarring. The world, characters, quests, etc I prefer in Morrowind though.
So if you make a different account that isn't affiliated with Nintendo then you can live stream, and this only affects Youtube not any other live streaming services?
It sounds like Nintendo is "protecting" their brand. I don't necessarily agree with the decision, but in light of recent events it's almost expected from Nintendo.
Why are some of you guys defending arbitrary limitations when we can do away with the limitations and play with everybody? What do you guys have to gain?
Who cares if MS did it last gen. I didn't like it when MS didn't want cross-play for some titles last generation, and I don't like that Sony doesn't want cross-play with Xbox this generation.
