Nintendo did say repeatedly that motion controls would be the the best way to play this game.
You can always challenge yourself by not using the aforementioned additions. I, myself, never "pet" my Pokemon or use the recovery tool because I don't personally care for it.
Regarding type matching...that isn't skill that's just memorization. With 700-something Pokemon out there you can't expect people to memorize every Pokemon's type and secondary types. That was fine when there were only 150 pokemon, but it get's harder and harder with ...
I don't know. Europe is pretty much Sony's market, and I don't really expect that changing this holiday. I can see the Switch outselling the other consoles in America and Japan though.
Yeah, guess the other 6 games I own on Switch just don't exist.
Like what, and how many of those set the PS4 above the competition this holiday?
How is he being a hypocrite when he isn't the one who said what you quoted?
Billy Khan is the one who said that quote, but this article is about Adam Creighton. Heck, they aren't even the same company, one is idSoftware and the other is Panic Button.
@ocelot
Oh, I completely agree. Those bundles (and games) are still going to sell a lot. I think it's going to be a healthy holiday for the industry as a whole, regardless of who wins.
Why are you guys completely ignoring the word "holiday"? I mean, it's pretty explicit...
That's what this article was about. No one is saying the PS4 isn't worth a purchase. It's just a question about what will push it's sales during the holiday, and which console will be on top.
@danoman64
Hey, you've a right to that opinion. We won't really know until January or so, though. I guess we will see what happens.
Crimson Skies, Ninja Gaiden Black, and KotOR? Nice! Hopefully they add Jade Empire and Morrowind too.
@Chevalier
Most of those games you listed do sell the most during their launch weeks. Sure there will be deals during the holiday and others may pick it up, but wasn't this opinion piece exclusively about the holiday? Why do you feel the need to include the entire year of game releases when it's specifically mentioned throughout the article that this is in consideration of the holiday season?
In regards to the third party games, I'll echo what...
@danoman64
The authors opinion piece holds emphasis on Super Mario Odyssey being the title that blows the competition away. There is a brief mention of those older third party games, but the article, by and large, is considering that one exclusive title to be a big exclusive title that makes this particular device a hit for the holidays. He even says for Doom and LA Noire "Considering that they are older games that most gamers have already enjoyed we don’t feel like th...
Instead of just disagreeing, why not present an argument on which titles you feel would put the PS4 above the competition.
Then again, maybe I'm asking for too much.
In my opinion, no amount of games can make the current games you enjoy or look forward to "irrelevant" as a whole. Certainly not one single game. That doesn't mean we can't gauge which games are the most anticipated or highest potential selling though.
Mario is a straight thug.
"Lolwut? PS4 is still receiving more games than either platform"
I can't think of a single game coming out this holiday that I would call a PS4 system seller. Maybe it has the most, but that doesn't mean they are highly anticipated titles that would highlight the console above the competition.
When millions of consumers have a device it is hard to perform any amount of testing that ensures 100% of users will not face a problem.
Just about every system that gets an update has a small (or sometimes larger) section of people that experience problems. Just Google: "PS4 issues with latest update" (or Xbox One) to see how a lot of people experience this on other consoles. It sucks, but it's unpreventable.
Yes, but the Switch as a whole outsold the PS4 as a whole in the US as well. The Switch outsold the PS4 and Xbox One, and combined with the 3DS and Super NES Nintendo hardware took up 2/3rds of all video game hardware sales in the US.
Lol don't bother. I wish they'd do away with the disagree/agree system. That way if people agree they'd have to express it.
You can try to come up with hypothetical situations like that all you'd like, but there isn't any evidence that shows Mario will get a fantastic score off his name alone. When games are universally praised as well as they are it's hard to believe the "blinded by nostalgia" rhetoric.
It's your deal though. You believe what you want.
