If I were to choose between CoH and SupCom, I would choose SupCom. The epic scale, the deep economy system, the awesome units, and the complex gameplay make SupCom one of the most satisfying RTS games I've ever played. To be able to penetrate through the base of a turtler and take out his commander using scouts and interceptors as distraction to the AA then bringing in the strategic bombers from behind is such an awesome feeling.
The "Lacking implementation of nanosuit" is likely due to the feature being, in a way, "rushed". Crytek have said that the nanosuit was implemented fairly late in development, and as such they faced some problems with the level design and gameplay.
...the GameSpot editors left and created their own videogame website. That way they wouldn't be tied down by CNET.
They are amazing with the amount of free content they give out. Along with this delicious demo for this delicious game, the offer also includes Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, and Peggle Extreme for free. The cake is certainly not a lie.
I've been tracking this game since its announcement and it just keeps looking better and better. This will be multiplayer gaming at its finest. I've read numerous experiences about the demo at QuakeCon and all of them have been overwhelmingly positive.
Yes, but Sony is a competitor to Microsoft in electronics and entertainment.
Did anybody notice that they're using Sony Vaio notebooks? I found that funny.
I started becoming interested in this game after reading ShackNews's preview.
It wouldn't be secret if it has already been revealed.
And Day 1 Studios is working on Fracture, Force Unleashed is being developed in-house at LucasArts.
The multiplayer is actually pretty fun. It can feel a little "Call of Duty 4-ish" where you're just dying, respawning, dying, respawning, but the sub-classes of EMP, Drone, Air Support, and Ground Support add an interesting dynamic to the game. The spawn points need a lot of improvement, though. Spawn killing is quite bad in this game at the moment.
I'm surprised at how few awards STALKER is getting. In my opinion, it was one of the best games of 2007. The game is an absolutely phenomenal shooter with an engrossing atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to Clear Skies. If they clean up the game a bit by fixing the bugs that plagued the original and add the features originally intended to be in the game, then Clear Skies will be a masterpiece.
Gears of War is on the PC, too.

In a response to a comment posted on his GameSpot blog today, Provo defended his former compatriots, writing "The GameSpot staff did not fire Jeff. The GameSpot staff are NOT corrupt. GameSpot itself is NOT the problem. CNet is. CNet's management is."
From what I've seen of the game, it's just a gimmick.
The underwater effects in Crysis are amazing. That alone makes it the best water I've ever seen in a videogame.
There was a live demo on GameSpot's On the Spot show today. The game looks really awesome.
Also, that site's thumbnail image viewer is very cool.
Looks like something you'd see in those all-in-one game consoles you see at Wal-Mart.
You have to start out with basic level design first, then you start putting in the details. To design a level, put in a ton of details, then scrap a lot of that work because a part of the level is not fun or doesn't play correctly would be a huge waste of time.
The same process was used with Unreal Tournament 3 and many other games. In UT3, the levels started out as basic geometry with little to no textures, and the textures that were there were low detail. Once they perfected...
I hate the people who hide in a corner and do nothing but launch drones, especially the suicidal recon drones. They always kill me when I least expect it.
The wait for this game will be excruciating.
