The first two Fallout games, not including the spin-offs, are CRPGs. Fallout 3, however, will be more of an action game since that will help them sell more copies. (Many fans of the original Fallout games are upset about the direction this series is heading.)
What's with the segregation?
Actually, there are more people who play games on the PC than on consoles because, worldwide, PCs are more prevalent than a console.
There's a game called Kart Rider that has more members than World of Warcraft. Over 15,000,000 people play the game in Korea alone, with millions more throughout Asia. And MapleStory, another popular PC game, has over 50,000,000 subscribers worldwide and brings in over 250,000,000 USD of revenue each year.
Left 4 Dead has great graphics.
Some of the particle effects are pretty nice, even by today's standards.
With our current technology, to do that would be ridiculously expensive and require a gigantic PCB, as well as a ton of cooling.
