@exsturminator01
But it's Linux, and this is Valve we're talking about.
Valve believe in and push Linux, so therefore they probably aren't closing any doors against turning it into a desktop suite.
If it's true Linux, then anyone out there can add full desktop functionality and give it to everyone else.
MS Office is out.
A myriad of free alternative office solutions are in.
That happened to me, too.
Even more crazy for me was a Wikipedia article of the day being about some plane Mitsubishi made and how it was probably the most commonly manufactured suicide plane in WW2.
What Legion said.
They did offer a few PS One classics last year for a while. I believe they got rid of doing them when they took up PSP and Vita games on the service.
edit: PS One classics are great on Vita, albeit not free, of course. If anything, they should be played on Vita instead of PS3. I say this because PS One games did not age well when thrown on a modern HDTV. The Vita's smaller screen makes them look better.
@EximiusNebula
The 3G versions have a sim tray on the side of them I believe.
I'm talking about the mystery port on the top of the system next to the game card slot.
As far as I know, the reason for it being there has never been revealed.
I prefer to think of it as encouraging for vita game development.
I'm assuming that people who buy this are interested in using it to play games. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same as Roku and other similar devices.
The more people who use it to play games, the more games will be made for it. At least, that's how I view it.
I don't know if I'm right or you're right, of course.
All that I took from it is that you should be able to pre-order one now and you will get it before Christmas.
As for the bundles, your guess is as good as mine.
Edit: I wouldn't worry much about the games, even if some sell out launch day, they will be restocked a few times before Christmas I would imagine. Digital purchase is also a backup.
Maybe this was the planned use of the mystery port.
Could be, especially considering the new vita doesn't have it.
Not the day one edition, and probably not bundles, either.
If you were to go pre-order just the system right now, that would probably be the standard edition.
You're plentiful with assumptions it seems, Goku781.
Even if, as you claim, you don't discriminate, and we look past the fact that most posts do contain opinion, then we are still left with:
"Yeah, I could promise systems in stock too, if I didn't launch in as many countries as my competition. I wouldn't show those preorder numbers either. I'm just saying."
This seems about as productive as posts containing "...
If Resogun is not free for me, then I have no problem paying for it.
I'm betting it will be my first and favorite game until inFamous launches.
Same here. I doubt I'll even use this site that much anymore when next gen drops. I'm just using it to pass the time at work.
November 15 will be a fantastic day.
Also, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the first to own next gen in the world. That's pretty exciting.
GMT -3:30 means an hour and a half before eastern time gets it. (Midnight launches, of course)
Sony has been heading down this path for a while, I think. PS Mobile is somewhat indicative of that.
I think this should be interpreted as exciting. I view it as an expansion of both PC and PS4 gaming.
The PlayStation brand seems to be taking the right steps towards future proofing itself, and that's something that has to be taking place in the year 2013. Android and iOS didn't exist, and steam was still young when the last consoles launched.
My experience was like that video IGN had just before Vita launched:
Same network: Works reasonably well. Playable.
Different network: Unplayable.
Even if more games were able to use the feature on ps3, I still wouldn't be using it. I'm VERY glad that it seems to be majorly improved for ps4.
The other half always hates cables.
Modern mobile devices make it worse, too. The night stand next to the bed has become worse than the entertainment center.
Vita charger, iPhone charger, two or three micro usb chargers for phone, tablet, e-reader, etc.
This is another example of lacking PR.
The correct thing would be to say: "Do not stand your Xbox One vertically." If they don't want you to do it, just say so. Be direct.
Using "at your own risk" is just terrible.
I bet one day when you move, you will find cats and small children in the cable jungle behind that unit.
I have nightmares about setups like that. haha :)
Sounds like you should have a bucket full of remotes and game controllers next to the couch. It's probably just easier that way.
@eyeDEVOUR it's true of course.
It's an issue that's solved for next gen though. In fact it's solved now on vita. Nothing can stop a vita from background downloading. You can also play a game while the patch for that game is downloading in the background. Ps3 has never let you do that.
I'm happy with the current vita as well.
I am a little bit envious of the lighter and thinner part though, as many times I will carry my Vita in an ass pocket.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around those colours. Shouldn't they have at least tried to get red, green, and blue in there? Strange.
100% agree. +bub
The part that scares me if you debate this with someone is the stance where one is free and one you pay for, so the one you pay for must be better.
