The Division. One of the best games at e3, and also my personal favourite of everything coming out. Check the gameplay video, you won't be disappointed.

Depends on the game, but pretty much all MMO's are lenient on death. You almost never lose any items. Usually there's some type of checkpoint localized to the zone or area you're in.

Same boat. This was my favourite of everything at e3. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. It looks like they even managed to get the UI down and make it look more simple than even offline shooters... but it's an mmo.
The wait is killing me.

I meant people who bought Thomas Was Alone with the plus discount were possibly vita owners. Seeing as how that's what the post is about, it was implied.
I bought into plus before I bought a vita and before they brought IGC to it.

By the way, if you're going to debate, you never retort with personal insults. That means you're losing.

@Dlacy13g
That makes sense. Just like the PS4 will have a day one patch with the proper release candidate software, too.

I played that game so dark that I'm pretty sure it was bad for my eyes.

I agree. I feel more and more as of late that Microsoft needs to make some drastic changes in the near future to stay on their game.
How can you expect to consistently show up later to the game than Google or Apple (main competitors) without much innovation and still be a big player?

I honestly don't know anyone who uses Bing, or SkyDrive, or a Windows RT device. Almost anyone who has a legacy Windows OS doesn't want to make the jump to 8. I would venture to s...

Given that the architecture doesn't change with a clock speed increase, you're more likely to see increased frame rates than graphical fidelity.
Frame rates are more important in my book. I'll take a hit on graphics any day to get 60 frames.

The engineers and techs salaried by Microsoft will certainly flesh the possibilities out. Place more trust in them than internet posters at least.

The day one patch thing really surprised me. Why can't it be fixed before launch? Would that mean at least some part of the system has been finalized and hit production-- too late to be fixed? Is it that baked into the OS that the patch just hides or disables the programming? Or does it remove the programming? If it were to jus...

Usually MMO's don't pair up level discrepancies when matchmaking for PvP. If they do, I'm sure there's some kind of balancing system.
World PvP is a different matter, sometimes you just gotta suck it up.
The day after Wrath of the Lich King came out for WoW, some friends and I just waited at the dark portal for all the Death Knights to come through and just mowed them down and camped them over and over. Man, that was fun. I'm not an arse like that anymore, ...

There's another side of the coin. Just read his post. What possible benefit does he receive from putting the other side down? To go on the internet and put others down? Yaaaayyy....
I don't want to have a game that goes from like 26x better than current gen to 30x better than current gen at the expense of the many. (Those obviously aren't real figures)
There's brand loyalty, then there's fanaticism, and then there's outright selfishness.

My only pleasant experience with sixaxis was shaking it for your flashlight in The Last Of Us. Something inside my dualshock 3 just seemed to rattle right like flashlight batteries. Probably not good, but added to the effect.

I bet a lot of the Plus purchasers were Vita owners. Seems that a lot of Vita owners are desperate for games and may have purchasing power to take what they can get.

More network games need to show up on Vita. Castle Crashers, Fat Princess, Scott Pilgrim, Shatter, flOw, Pixeljunk games, there are a lot out there that I would play the poop out of if they were on Vita. I just don't have time to play indie and/or network games and still get AAA games done on ps3.

I wish it had the microphone still. Hopefully the one for the camera works good.
I just want to be able to plug in good stereo cans and not have to deal with virtual surround or charging wireless. Ironically, I find plain stereo phones with a deep sound stage much easier to track sounds positionally.

Playstation Plus is a fantastic service. Realistically it's probably the reason I have for any type of brand loyalty. I bought my ps3 just after E3 last year and the instant game collection is nuts. I'm sure many people are like me and bought a vita after they launched the IGC for it as well.
I get lots of games and discounts, and Sony gets their loot from me buying a proprietary $100 memory card (shameful)
I can't even count how many $5-10 sale games that I still ...

I'm in. I think I'll be getting this game and Knack for day one. Knack for when I'm lazy lounging around, and for the girlfriend. Killzone for a more serious session.
I expect when The Division comes out though my life might be ruined.

Agreed. Cross compatibility for consoles and PC would probably help for initial sales, too. People more likely to be shown it. People who have multiple devices that could use it (and probably have the dough to spend for it at initial price)
Plus game development would probably be more serious.

I didn't know that. MOHAA was a great game, but it didn't have that level of polish the first CoD brought to the table.

Maybe they were good because they both, more or less, copped their stories from somewhere else. Saving Private Ryan, Enemy At The Gates, Band of Brothers
Maybe more time getting all the gameplay touches right.

Not a fan of the series but definitly 1 and 4.
The original Call of Duty came out at a time when the market had seen MANY WW2 games, especially shooters. It still managed to differentiate itself and shine above the rest.
Call of Duty: 4 more or less did the same thing but with modern military instead of WW2
