It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

You'd lose that bet... it's been confirmed, lol.

This feels like Christmas... like when you know something shiny and new is sitting in its' box, waiting for you, but you still can't open it yet!

I disagree.

Okay,

Morpheus only works for PS4 and requires that the PS4 process the data to run the headset. This will reduce the fidelity of the games(over non-VR) and they will have to be specifically designed to use VR for it to even work.

Conversely, OR and Hololens can be used on multiple devices. XB1 can use them via Win 10 streaming to your PC, or through Azure's servers and predictive software like MS's Irides. MS has more versatile VR tech with more...

Azure has 300,000 servers dedicated to Xbox Live, but the Move Engines help with cloud computing too. The Move Engines can zip and unzip data independent of any game programming being run by the machine at a rate of around 25gb/sec each way, per engine. This "free" data management can be used for cloud compute (these types of engines were originally used in server farms to accelerate communications). Also, MS's Irides can significantly reduce lag in cloud assisted HMD displays ...

If there are 16 players, and the match itself is using the 20 extra consoles for physics, that means that each user is getting 1.25 consoles worth of console power on average to boost the mp. MS has suggested that the cloud could give at least 3 consoles worth of cloud compute to each XB1, meaning this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Now it can be a bad game, on a bad console, played with a bad controller, by people with bad manners. It's a perfect match.

@dboy

It's not a miracle, it's called market saturation and is a well documented phenomenon (see: Wii).

More Sony fanboys troll the internet now than last gen. Matter of fact, you don't even have to leave this site to see that's true. You've got it twisted.

Fyi, lead console ≠ better optimized

The "better" platform doesn't look as good as the "weaker" console? Perhaps the easy-to-program-for hare is using up all it's energy trying to make the less understood tortoise look bad at the beginning, while the tortoise continues to close the gap? What happens now that devs have the tools (DX12)to use the XB1 the way MS intends?

Oh well, it's not like COD is that good anymore... hasn't been good since MW and it gets worse every year. Halo and Gears are both consistently better than COD anyways(sp and mp). Wouldn't doubt that COD is entirely washed up in the next few years, TBH.

@ rocket

If the system uses the cloud to enhance physics, why would you be expecting the visuals to get better? Besides that, you do realize that the cloud can be used for other things like Ai, lighting, and tiling too?

Take your blinders off, dude. Physics aren't pretty, they're functional. When a dev uses the cloud for something like realtime raytracing then it will look pretty instead.

Let me dumb this down to your level so you ...

Does anyone know if this will kick off the MSTV channel on XBL?

There's no such thing as 2nd party... the term is colloquial. If the console manufacturer publishes the title and owns the IP it is 1st party regardless of developer. If Wiki is wrong, change their definition... but until then only the publisher and IP owner determine the party, 1st or 3rd, meaning BoundtoScale was right about almost everything on his list.

That's the difference between an effect and a simulation... an effect just tries to look pretty while a simulation attempts to behave realistically. A simulation is way more complex than an effect which is one reason why FM6 is so amazing.

Capcom should hire Itagaki to make sure everything "pops".

Yeah. It's funny how we all want freedom from rules and hypocracy but complain anytime someone does something we disagree with. Society seems content with manufacturing their own prison out of all the SJW BS. Can't fart in the wrong direction these days without getting raked over the coals or have everyone disassociate from you so your stink doesn't wind up on them. What we really need are some SJW-JW's to smooth things out. Freedom of speech, yay!

You're an Agent. A clone who dies, then gets cloned again with implanted memories from the previous one. And can pick up shipping containers, jump hundreds of feet, and surive hitting the Earth at terminal velocity. Not exactly realistic now, is it?

But maybe the game would be better if it played like L.A. Noire so you felt more like a cop? Or rode a bicycle and wrote parking tickets while near the beach? Going back to the office to file paperwork could make things really...

And replaced him with Arnold, who's also made inflammitory remarks. Smart.

I think you guys are missing the point. The cloud compute is for multiplayer only, so the 20x worth of cloud compute is not per console it's per multiplayer match. If it is 16 player online, each player gets a little over 1 console worth of extra power... kind of. The reality is that it is the map that gets all of the 20x processing so that the entire city can be maintained in its destroyed state.
