MS is doing what they feel is most important for their success while Sony sits on their success and forgets that there is a holiday this year that needs 1st party. Why is it okay for Sony to forget about this year, like MS did last year, and make it's E3 about next year and beyond anyways? Whatever, because after Gamescom MS will have next year in the bag too.
Agreed. I just hope the next Far Cry puts back the MP editor and adds logic like Timesplitters had. I'm surprised no one has really done logic like that on consoles since then. Far Cry has the most robust FPS editor of any console game to date, but LBP and Project Spark are great too with all the logic options they offer.
Survival horror died when RE4 came out.
Change the camera, controls, graphics... WTF! If they do all that, then they also change the tension, pacing, and difficulty.
Graphics and new areas, like RE1 on Gamecube. No more than that.

No need to overtake PS4, just create better brand imaging and more must have new IP. This year's E3 was awesome, and E3 part deux is already looking to at least equal that. I, for one am super excited!
You don't spend less. To get and maintain an elite PC costs thousands over that period. If you're going to talk about game prices, I only spend about $30 per game too if I trade in when I'm done plus I can exchange games with my friends for free and buy preowned. No 1st party PC software kind of sucks too, but to each their own.
No thanks. I like my couch, controller, and $400 every 5 to 7 years is way better than constant upgrades... not to mention compatibility issues occur on PC. Computers are for being creative and porn.
Thanks Rookie, I was going to mention Forza. It does require 3 tv's, xboxes, and copies of the game but was being done as far back as Forza 3 if I remember right.
Again, I agree that Sony is overpriced but our debate is semantic's really. Both companies are foolish... kind of like comparing Republicans and Democrats. In playing Devil's Advocate, I merely stressed that the intent of MS appears to be shifting favorably. Reasonably, it could be the same old same old from them but it will take time for the answer to become clear.

I mostly agree, but the Surface is amazing, Win 10 appears to be a tunaround for the OS, and Phil has talked about continuing to bring new IP to XB1. MS is changing focus and attempting to create positive momentum.

I HATE digital. Love Hitman, but if I can't eventually buy it on disc I may just go 47 on Square Enix. Maybe if SE knew how to run a business they wouldn't have to have MS pay for Tomb Raider or cut corners on the distribution of Hitman. The one good franchise SE publishes and they screw it up with this BS. F them.

Right, because the only difference between Forza and DC is frame rate. Forza still has better physics, sound, customization, car selection, lighting, AI and more... all still at a stable 60 fps with 360 fps for physics. Nice try though.
