I guess you forgot how people reacted to an always connected XB1?
Abizzel, reprojection is basically creating information that isn't in the coding for the original game. It's similar to how TV's make more frames appear in an original source through interpolation. It's also similar to how Killzone did 1080p. Irides uses cloud compute so no extra processors would be needed to reproject or otherwise enhance the data for OR to function as a VR device on XB1. The cloud would provide the extra processing and Irides would then limit 100ms worth of ...
Permadeath should be something publishers implement on developers of franchises that are spammed like junk mail in my in box.
Oh god, really? Someone here a while back told me that Dirt Rally was a sim. If it plays like Dirt 1 it's arcade BS all over again.
Colin McRae was a sim. Rallisport Challenge was a sim. Dirt played like the center of the car was the pivot point. Codemasters ruined TOCA at that same time by turning it into Grid, which was also an awful franchise. Oh well, at least I hear Playground is working on something new so maybe we'll see Forza Rallisoprt and finally have a ...
I see, it's Paragon. I bet it's exclusive to PC and will be announced for the XB1 console exclusively.
Rashid, MS partnered specifically to bring Oculus Rift to the XB1 and the headset is going to sell with an XB1 controller. While currently OR will function only as a video display, MS announced it's cloud enhanced Project Irides VR tech around the same time as the OR partnership was announced. Mike Ybarra recently announced that there are 2 or 3 new features coming to XB1 within the next 12 months that are on the same scale as BC.
What does this all mean? Nothing, yet...
Realistically, why would anyone think that you'd need to be online to play by yourself? It's absurd.
You can stream it live thgough XB1's event player, and just like during E3 it's interactive.
Epic Games must have a new IP in the works, it's been way too long.
Apparently the author never played the first two? They were just like this one. Blowing stuff up for no good reason is as satisfying as a fart joke, and never gets old!
PS4 was at 42% by dollar share while XB1 was at 41%? Doesn't that mean that since the XB1 was discounted more, that they actually sold more consoles than Sony? Seems like a weird way to spin the console wars to make it seem like Sony sold better, when in fact they were just more profitable.

Now I know who's responsible for all the headaches my printer causes me...
All of you guys continue to act like a bunch of morons. The total amount of sales Eidos gets on this game has nothing to do with it's first week of sales. The game just went up against many heavy hitters like COD, Fallout 4, Battlefront, and Halo 5.
Since it will release on PS4 as well, that will also triple the amount of customers (15+30 million) that ROTR can sell to in the long run so quit your bitching. If it's really that important to you that you still feel it...
Many people will buy it after the holidays. When competing against COD, Fallout 4, Battlefront, and Halo 5, what do you expect ROTR to do? Plus the fact that Eidos will see the game launch on a second platform next year to get even more sales. I have no doubts that ROTR will outsell the last one once PS4 sales are factored in, and that's why the dev knows that everything's okay too. It's just bad timing on the release window to see a successful launch.
@everyone who pounced on Chrish the other day, his article never said anything about the XB1 version of the game. His journalism was fine. Why people were so quick to jump on him for posting here that he heard a rumor about the XB1 version is beyond me. Maybe, just maybe, people should have read the article before jumping to the same poor conclusions drawn by other members, who also didn't read it, before crucifying him. It's both disrespectful and sad that the comments section of ...
Long term appeal = A new cow to milk because all their cows are dying.
Moo-bisoft
Maybe there's a girl with a map tatooed on her back somewhere in the game to find the treasure...
If it moves, blow it up. If it doesn't, blow it up anyways just to be sure.
Games of the future will be sold as a graphics engine, with DLC required for any gameplay at all.
