MS has Cloud coming in 2016 too, lol!
Year 2 is going to be the best year for XB1 with more new IP than ever, 2-3 big hardware feature announcements, Cloud powered gaming, and native Win10/DX12 engines to drive XB1 games by holiday. I'm stoked!!!
Who would have thought that a console with roughly twice the install base would have more players online! It truly boggles the mind. /S.
Battlefront is nothing compared to Halo MP (and Halo has free dlc too), but playing BF on EA Access meant that most of us on XB1 didn't have to waste any money to find out how little value there is in it at $60 either. I guess when all you have to play online is COD or BF though, beggars can't be choosers.
@Fraud
Rockstar is working on something other than GTA Online according to the article from a few days ago, which you clearly didn't read. The same article also stated that they wanted Red Dead and GTA launches to be events, not annualized releases like other games. It's clearly not a matter of if, but when a new Red Dead or GTA are going to release. That much is confirmed.
I guess you didn't see the articles here that said there's another Red Dead, another GTA and other games on the way?
Beside that, I think that companies like EA, UBI, and Activision are more cancerous to gaming with their need for annual franchises, stripped down games that need DLC to feel complete, and getting paid by console manufacturers for exclusive advertizing rights.
So it's okay for one side to pay for advertizing rights, but desperate for the other side to find a way to still advertise it for free? LOL.
Sounds just as desperate of either side to me since the only real winner here is EA, who didn't have as much advertizing costs as a result of all of this nonsense. TBH, companies like EA and Activision shouldn't need any financial backing anyways, especially with games like SW:BF and Destiny both being such obvious cash-grab...
NO SPOILERS
The ending was way too easy and way too short though, IMO.
Now available... tomorrow. o_O
Lol, the irony in the title kills me! After all, a stormtrooper is just an inferior clone of an amazing original...
MS has predictive software prototyped already which is Cloud based called Irides. Look it up, the tech is amazing. I'm betting VR support with OR is one of the 2-3 announcements Ybarra recently said are as big as BC and should be revealed within a year.
No mention of cost? I'll bet at least as much as an Elite, which still does more, functions with all the accessories, and has a better D-Pad than the Scuf(according to the article).
@moldy
But when they don't get delayed they can end up lacking in features or with glitches. It's a double edged sword.
Woah, slow down there! Logic doesn't make sense to a lot of folks around here, lol.
To your point, Cliffy B said Gears 1 code(stones) was using all the 360's power. When Gears 3 came out its' code(sand) was too. More efficient code yields better results.
Games right now are closer to stones than sand. Battlefront, Uncharted 4, and Quantum Break are only beginning to show the potential of this gen.

Not a R...
@assdan
How could you think XB1 is peaking this year when Win 10/DX12 just launched and they haven't even used Cloudgine yet? Both consoles are just now breaking away from last gen support, and graphics engines are finally starting to take advantage of the hardware. We're in the equivalent of the Gears 1 phase of the 360.
That's a good point that I'd not considered. Thanks, Cobra.
"Suddenly, a little more waiting doesn't sound so bad."
Waiting, no. Paying more, OTOH...
@dc bronco
It does make sense if you think about it, but the XB1 doesn't really have two GPUs. It does have 2CCPs, 2GCPs, 2 groups of 6CUs, 2 ACEs, etc. I'm assuming that what he's referring to is the symmetrically split GPU architecture which behaves like two.
Edit: The first sentence of his quote could have been omitted altogether if it wasn't about the GPU in the XB1. The author may have also intentionally left that in for clicks. Who know...
So many of us complained that the game was missing way too much from the originals. DICE repeatedly told us all not to worry about it. Look at it now.
To (mis)quote Family Guy: Something something Battlefront, something something incomplete.
Far Cry has the most intuitive console map editor IMO. Fallout should follow suit with regard to object placement.
k2d,
I hate to tell you this, but all those scores are the same. Even 5/5 is still 100%. The math is really simple, actually.
Not surprising to hear you say that at all. They say that great minds think alike, but you know the opposite is also true...
