It's not new, I played it with GWG more than a year ago.
You have no evidence from MS that Scorpio is next gen. Matter of fact, Phil has said that Scorpio is using the same architecture as the XB1, but more powerful. Since it's not being "suggested" by MS that it's a next gen console your argument is flawed. Maybe you're just mad that the Ori devs said the Pro was weak?
XB1S doesn't need a boost mode because it automatically helps any games with dynamic resolution or an unlocked framerate. Maybe Scorpio will have user selectable options for attempting to boost games though? Too early to tell.
Exactly. Every game has some issues, but the issues I have with RE7 are minor compared to the issues I have with RE's 4-6. Hopefully Capcom can learn from RE7 and do this with their other ailing franchises too.
Now you pretend to be intelligent, yet still miss the point that I can express my opinions however I like. People like you are the real problem, not me, and my choice in consumption is my own as well. The shadows were still missing, and I have a right to question why. If it was unnecessary I wouldn't have brought it up. F'n fanboys like you just don't give a damn. Go stick your head back in the sand... or pound it where the sun don't shine if you like because you'll a...
Yes, it will stand on it's own merits. I already said that before. I just want to know why there are missing details, besides resolution, in the comparison and it's certainly coincidental that the things that looked like they were missing are talked about as being enhanced for the Pro. Nobody here cares, fine, but they care plenty when the XB1 version of a game is not up to the same standards as the PS4 version! Hypocrites...
If I cared about graphics so much, I...
It was revealed in 2015, 12 months before the Pro released, and you think Sony didn't have the dev kits ready for its' 1st party studios? Lol! Couldn't bother to look it up though before running off at the mouth like you know what you're talking about. You are right though, it could have been the Pro code running on a PC as well.
You don't know VR will be exclusive anymore. Oculus now has the capability to run Rift on PCs with less power than the XB1.
Ravenor, what's wrong with using the scientific method when you see something wrong like the missing shadows? I'm trying to get answers to questions I have, and I voice those questions here for others to see. Now there's circumstancial evidence which supports my earlier claims, and no one here tries very hard to show me how I'm wrong. You guys have Guerilla's word that it's not a downgrade. I have evidence in this article that supports my theory. Hell, we could bo...
I respect your opinion, but I think MS has some good games coming out this year. So do Sony and Nintendo. I'm really excited about E3 though because I'm pretty sure Mech Assault is coming back!
I guess Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Cuphead, etc., don't count for anything?
Edit: I just think it's weird that the article's title doesn't include Xboz One.
Wrong. The term "second party" is colloquial. There's only 1st and 3rd party just like there's no such thing as 2nd person perspective. Look it up. Besides, semantics doesn't change the fact that they're still not on PS4.
At least Xbox supports Sony's movie formats.
Explain.
Um, it's his job.
Tussin187, what's considered to be evidence? The developer talking about no downgrade or an announcement that there's improved shadow detail when played in 1080p on the Pro? I called my hypothesis a theory and circumstancial evidence still supports my theory, therefore it's still a plausable theory and not nonsense as you proclaim. Is my theory right though? I already said I don't know and can't prove it.
Only a real video comparison can do that, one...
Thanks. It was worth a watch and it looks great in both 1080 and 4k. What I want to see though, is how the Reveal stacks up against the 1080p Pro settings (where PQ is improved) and the og PS4 at 1080p. There are no good comparisons between these versions yet.
You're right. in the end it doesn't matter because it will be what it is. I do have the right to express my opinion though, and that IS what matters. When I said that there was more than just an image difference due to the crappy video capture in the last comparison, everyone else seemed to think that all the differences were from the low res video capture. Now, this article confirms that my theory is still plausable because the shadows can be different depending on what system it&...
Prove your theory. You can't because there's no good footage from the event Horizon was last shown at. I can't prove my theory either, but at least this article supports my theory that the shadows can be different. I also said the comparison was crap in my post so there's no need to repeat it.
The preview programs do seem to get abused a lot. Ark comes to mind specifically, with a DLC pack out before the game has even left preview. There need to be better rules in place to prevent the abuse of some developers from getting out of hand.
